Whew! Our shop is in the middle of a little rearranging and we’re working on signage for the new products coming to the shelves in just two weeks 👀✨

In the meantime, David is hard at work at the Indianola Farmers Market until noon with clearance 40 ounce tumblers, fun hair clips, baby blankets and more from our handful of vendors.

The shop will be open today from 11–2, right after dance classes wrap up next door. Come see us!

Taylor Swift wore a $320 dress, and it sold out in hours.
Nobody blinked at the price.
Nobody questioned the value.
They just bought it—because a celebrity wore it.

But when a local artist prices a painting at $320, suddenly it’s “too much.”
When a crafter sets the price of their handmade work, suddenly people wonder if it’s “worth it.”
When a small business owner pours their heart into creating, suddenly it’s “risky” or “unlikely to succeed.”

Here’s the truth:
Every purchase from an artist, maker, or local shop isn’t just about the item.
It’s a vote for their vision.
It’s validation for their courage to create.
It’s saying, your work matters, and I believe in you.

If we’re quick to trust the value of something just because a stranger in the spotlight wore it, let’s start giving that same belief to the people actually in our community, the ones shaping culture with their hands, their hearts, and their art.

Support local. Support makers. Support your friends.
Because every dollar is more than a purchase…it’s fuel for someone’s dream…your friend’s dream.

🍂 The Local Collective is out at the Indianola Farmers Market this morning! It’s a little chilly, but honestly… that makes it the perfect day to snag one of our handmade baby blankets, grab a fall-themed tumbler, or stock up on kids’ busy sensory toys.

We’ll be here until noon today! 🧡

Back at the shop, we’re working on a full rearrange (🤞🏼ready by Tuesday!) and we’ll be sharing our new fall/winter hours next week. Can’t wait to see you!

💛 Thank you for being part of our customer family! Every soap, blanket, tumbler, or coaster you buy helps a local family with school supplies, groceries, utilities – and yes, even sending kids off to college.

Our shop will be closed Tuesday–Friday this week as we pack (and pack!) our middle kiddo into sophomore year of college life. Your purchases truly help with the gas, food, and all the little expenses along the way — they matter more than you realize.

We’re so grateful for every person who continues to show up and support us and our amazing vendors.

We have loved having Frolic Farms as part of our shop, and we’re sad to see them go. Their beautiful goat milk soaps have been a local favorite (and all their other products are just a bonus!).

If you’ve been eyeing something from Frolic Farms, like that patchwork tote or Americana table runner, now is the time to stop in and grab it from our shelves while it’s still here. We encourage you to favorite their website (in comments) so you can continue to support their business in the future.

I’ll be holding off on buying my personal favorites until after our customers have a chance…so all of their wonderful scents are available for you first. 💛

Shop is closed tonight — I’m spending the evening with my college-bound kid before she heads back to California this weekend. It’s been such a joy having her in the shop and even at the market with us this summer. The time goes fast, my friends — hold the people you love close to your heart and arms when you can. 💛 I’m looking forward to seeing your friendly faces tomorrow and over the weekend!

Look what you can find from us! We also got a restock on unpaper towels and reusable balloons (see comments for video)
