SIX YEARS!!!! 🎈

It’s officially been SIX years since Designs by Vonda became a business, and whew…what a journey it has been! I’m so grateful for every high, every low, every lesson and every opportunity along the way.

This last year started with the biggest blow to my personal life—the loss of my husband. But GOD!🙌🏾

When life hits, being a business owner doesn’t mean life stops. Sometimes you have to keep going even when life gets to lifeing! I’ve always said balloons have been therapy for me, and this year proved that on a much bigger scale. Creating, designing and bringing JOY to other people’s special moments helped me keep moving through some of my hardest ones.

This journey is also teaching me that I don’t have to do it alone. I'm grateful for the continued partnerships and connections made along the way. I’ve worked hard to get where I am, and NOTHING happened overnight. Six years in, I’m still learning, still growing, still networking and building relationships that will help me become a better business owner and balloon artist.

Basically…minding the business that minds me. 😉

And the crazy part? I really feel like I’m just getting started!

To every client who has trusted me with your special moments, every person who has referred my name, shared a post, liked a picture, encouraged me, prayed for me or simply been one of my biggest cheerleaders—THANK YOU! I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart.

Six years down…and it’s UP from here! 🎈

Putting in the WORK! 💪🏾

I feel so blessed to be able to continue investing in myself and growing my business! Today I took a quick drive to Louisville for a Balloon Masterclass hosted by my Soror Tenesha Blakey Marshall and from Atlanta—and the tips, tricks and knowledge shared were PRICELESS!

But the ENERGY and networking in the room?! LOVED IT! 🙌🏾

I am forever a learner and always looking for ways to elevate my craft, expand my knowledge and keep growing in these balloon streets! 🎈 There is ALWAYS another level.

Thank you again for pouring into us today. I’m excited to take what I learned and see how I can continue enhancing Designs by Vonda!

Loved creating this install for 3 317 Author Events! The founder was so dope and easy to work with, and even though we had to switch up the original design, the client LOVED the final look! 💕

And can we talk about that BOOK detail?! 📚😍 It brought the whole design together!

How many times have you been ghosted after sending a quote? 👀

Trust me... I've been there too.

But don't let the silence make you question your value or your business. Every inquiry isn't meant to become a booking, and that's okay. They simply weren't your client.

Stay the course. Keep showing up. Keep creating. Keep serving. You have to get through the "no's" (and the no responses 😉) to get to your YESes. And I truly believe those yeses will be worth every bit of the wait.

Throwback to one of my favorite opportunities—creating balloon décor for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. National Convention right here in my city! ❤️🤍

What made it even more special? Having my kiddos by my side. These are the moments that remind me why I do this. Building a business I love, making memories with my family, and spreading joy through every installation is a blessing I'll never take for granted.
