Tailor, seamstress, dressmaker, crafter, designer, machinist, sewist

Words have limitations as always. I like the word collaborator. And I like brainstorming with my clients. Once i start sewing, they don't have to worry, but the planning part of the process is fun for me cos I get to learn about my client.

And I get to see if I'm understanding what they're saying while we brainstorm. Cos sometimes I won't understand. But that's not the end of the road. I pivot because I want to understand. I want to know how people's brains work, how they communicate.

Sewing is so much more than making wedding attire for me. I want you to know that.

Please read thru the FAQS, but I will accept weddings 6 months away (normally 8 months before your wedding so I can ship a month to a month and a half before your wedding)

Keng is so wonderful to also model this dress. Tysm! If you've been around for a while, you might remember this dress I made years ago. I love it so much. The skirt is made of 4 ply silk crepe. It's so yummy.

Again, this is not business as usual. Minneapolis needs all the help, including, and not in the news, the Hmong population. Hmong village has been closed for safety because of 🧊. Research populations that aren't circling the news. So many are abandoned by media.

2025 weddings are all handed out!! I mentioned before but icymi 2026 is ON. I've had 3 virtual and 1 in person mockup fittings. I got some organizational help over the summer and it gave me time to breathe and find a way to make things easier to visualize while in the design stage.
I've started using Milanote and I really enjoy watching clients play with it. Now I can have your sketch, links to fabric with an image of the fabric, and any notes and comments. I really hope it helps!

So obsessed with these two! We did a custom print lining for PJ's suit and you can really see it in the vest cos we did a lining only back on the vest, rather than fabric. It's a Hubble Telescope image that PJ got to play with on the site before I ordered a swatch and then the printed silk twill- yes, they have silk twill, and the print job is beautiful, and the fabric is gorgeous, and breathable!
Kayla's dress lace was custom dyed by our friends at for the perfect green! And the suiting is from - it's such a gorgeous fabric.
But wait! There's more! Kayla's dress is actually two dresses! The base is a shortie, and we had the overskirt as a removable piece for the reception! Swipe thru to see the two looks!

Obsessed with these soft layers paired with hand-painted lace! 😍 She looks so dreamy!
We've got a brocade for the jacket with the short layer of tulle permanently attached while the longer layer is detachable. Then we have silk crepe for the wrap top with silk charmeuse, and lined. The pants are a stretch crepe which I'm phasing out. All the fabric is just so incredibly soft, creating this dreamy, flowing look.

Hope you get some downtime this week.
Here's a lil throwback to my childhood. My parents and their friends would get together, make puppets, and put on shows. Us kids were often their first audience.
Fast forward to my 20s and I got a gig touring with Tears of Joy Puppet Theater. My parents were pumped! I stopped touring after two shows and did one of the in town (Portland, OR) shows, and then got a job at Miracle Theater. That was back in my performing days. I had no interest in sewing back then.
Fast forward to this year, and I found myself working with puppets again, this time with for Indy Fringe. My performance partner created the puppets and I got to play. It was one hell of a show.
