I’M RETIRING
My career as a wedding planner and florist has filled my heart and soul with so much joy. I hold a special place for EVERY couple and their families that I had the pleasure of planning a part of their lives and watching them celebrate such a memorable event.
To me.. you are all my extended family.❣️❣️
I am forever grateful for the relationships I established with so many beautifully talented and loving people of the wedding industry. It takes a TEAM🫶
My staff is irreplaceable and leave me with a smile in my heart for all their hard work, dedication, and ability to overlook my perfectionistic drive and come to know the “fun” Robin(at the reception dinner table). I love you all💕
In reflection… it’s still hard to comprehend how after leaving 20 years as an Art teacher, it all started as a mother planning her daughters wedding sooo many years ago, then connecting with a wedding planner(🥰Marie) that mentored me, then taking on florals, design and planning within the business. Working hard, self educating, and after years of experience, finally launched into a career that acknowledged me in the top
of my field with other amazing planners, designers, and florist in our city. It’s been so fulfilling!! I made a lot of amazing friends.
I’ve learned so many lessons along the way and have been inspired endlessly by so many. I remember a bride in my earlier years(Stephy)telling me, “don’t you ever quit this job, you’re too good at it!” I will never forget that feeling of “OMG, it’s her wedding night and she’s taking the time to share such a compliment!❤️”
I remember EVERY brides “ smiles for miles” moment(s) and the best “end of the night” hugs from soooo many brides, grooms, moms & dads.
What’s my future plans?
Personal: I plan to continue to enjoy Gods blessings, my family, travel, gardening, and always being creative. (Especially with flowers)
Career: Hmmm???I want to:
Teach fun floral workshops.
Design floral installations for special events & businesses.
Freelance with fellow florist.
Mentor upcoming Wedding planners & designers.
HAVE FUN WITH FLOWERS!!
Some wedding career advice:
Always be kind!! Don’t ever burn bridges!!
You can learn something from everyone, so watch, listen, and be humble.
Be extra prepared, but also flexible.
When super exhausted.. it means you need to hire more HELPERS🙌
Again, thank you to everyone that played any part in my tiny business over the last 13 years…can’t wait for what’s next????? I’m gonna miss this chapter and use some tissues for a bit, but its exciting to see what’s next🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
