With all of the snow outside, I’m bringing it back to summer days when the studio was full of gorgeous blooms!!
It was definitely a hot day during this wedding setup. It’s funny — Every time there is a really hot wedding setup, I think of my own wedding. I got married in October and 100% intentionally picked that date because I remembered being a bridesmaid in a wedding in the middle of a hot summer day and my friend (the bride) opening the fridge door while holding her wedding dress up so she could cool off. I vowed to never let this happen to me! Well…a few years later, it was my turn and the date was officially set in the middle of October! A cool, fall day in October, right? Yeah, I wish! It ended up being 85’. Guess what the temp was the next year? I’ll just tell you. It was 55’. Yeah, those cooler temps I wanted…I apparently just needed to wait a year!
So what’s my rule of thumb with picking your wedding date and temperature? Well, if I told you, my advice I would probably be wrong because the weather here in Indianapolis is as fickle as can be. So, pick the date that works best for you and we will be here to make sure to decorate with florals and help to make your day beautiful, even if you need to hold your dress up to an open fridge door to cool off!
