Garfield Park is bringing you free kids dance classes this fall!

This class combines jazz and hip hop styles to help you develop strong technique and personal expression. It’s a fun, energetic space where you can build confidence, improve your skills, and stay connected to today’s dance styles. This class is open to youth in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade, and will be lead by Instructor Krystal through a partnership with Arts for Learning.

Classes take place every Wednesday from October 8 until December 17

Session One: 5:30-6:15 | Grades K-1
SessionTwo: 6:30-7:15 | Grades 2-3

Calling all book lovers! 📚We have started our very own little free library here at the park! We are in the market for book donations of any genre children’s books or adult books. We aim to inspire a love for reading and resourcefulness to our community. Our books are always free, we want to fill our shelves full and keep our selection diverse so take a book if you’d like and leave a book if you can! ☺️

We are open Monday-Friday 10am-6pm anyone at the front desk can take your book donations. Thank you!

Do you enjoy painting? Are you looking for something fun to do for all ages? Look no further….

We have a new art series beginning September 12th we will also meet October 17th and our last meeting will be on November 7th! We will begin at 6pm and end at 7pm.

The cost is $10 per person, each registration will receive 1 blank canvass per session however if you’d like to work on the same canvass each time you are welcome to do that as well.

We have found a husky that seems to have lost his way home. He’s been hanging out with us at the park today but we would love to get him home to wherever he belongs!

Indy Parks is partnering with the talented artists at ArtMix for another wonderful program! 🎨🎭🖌️

This will be a mixed media 10 week class for ages 5-18 Thursday afternoons from 4pm-5pm completely FREE just bring your child’s creativity! Omar will teach many different art techniques for any skill level. This is an awesome way to enjoy summer break in the park! 🌳

Hey everyone! We wanted to share with you all of the exciting new things happening at IWSP! It’s been a long time since we have posted but we are back! If you have been wondering what all the construction is about, we’re happy to share that we are getting a new concession pavilion that will have restrooms and parking for our sports field events. Pardon our yellow tape areas while we continue making improvements for our community 😊

Mayor Joe Hogsett and Indy Parks broke ground Monday on a $12.5 million project at Indianapolis World Sports Park on the city's southeast side.
