Events at Columbia Club Our clubhouse features more than 20,000 square feet of indoor wedding and social spaces perfect for your next event.

With over 20,000 square feet of private meeting space, Columbians enjoy the convenience of hosting business meetings and social functions at their Club. Our dedicated and experienced sales and event managers are able to plan and arrange everything from an intimate corporate event, charitable gala or wedding reception for upwards of 300 guests for a seated function. The club offers members use of t

hirteen flexible meeting spaces that are able to be transformed to fit the needs of the member. Whether holding a high level business meeting in the Board Room or an anniversary celebration in the Ballroom, events at the Columbia Club go far beyond what one would find at a conventional venue to meet the exceptionally high standards of members. With its high ceilings and stunning view of the circle, the Stardust Foyer and Ballroom on the tenth floor can accommodate a seated reception for up to 300. The Grand Lobby can host a similar number for a cocktail reception. For smaller groups, the beautifully decorated Tea Room, flexible Capehart and Riley rooms, and Columbian Suite can all be configured for business meetings, lectures, and even training sessions. The attention to detail as well as the depth and breadth of experience is what makes events at the Columbia Club so successful. The catering department works to ensure that the rooms as well as food and beverage meet the highest standards of quality and taste. Whether hosting a small luncheon for five or a cocktail reception for 500, the Club tailors events to meet and exceed the expectations of members and their guests.

This is a great informative interview done by a photographer with two vendors on the east coast, but does a great job explaining the difference between a wedding planner and a venue coordinator whether you live in New York, Indianapolis or California. The two amazing Catering & Event Managers at the would be your venue coordinators (sales manager and event manager combined) from your first site visit through your last dance and we would be happy to share some amazing wedding planner referrals for those looking!

Our Story

The Columbia Club has been planning special events for Indianapolis members, friends, and visitors for more than 125 years. Our Platinum clubhouse is perfect for small rehearsal dinners or large banquet receptions where a certain degree of sophistication and elegance are desired. We offer a seamless fusion of tradition and style combined with passion of uncompromising service, which creates an experience that is truly unforgettable.

Our historic club has three premier venues-- Grand Lobby, Crystal terrace, and Startdust Ballroom-- which are able to host ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions; along with several smaller meeting rooms for rehearsal dinners and bridal party ready spaces. Each main venue overlooks downtown Indianapolis’ Monument Circle, and boasts high ceilings, ornate chandeliers and originals 1920s architectural features.
