Gonna miss this island, but looking forward to our family room again!
Storage and food prep island: 72"l x52"w x37"h
It has a custom made stainless steel top with a food prep sink. The top sits on 5 cabinet units(from Lowe's): 1 set of small drawers, 1 under sink, 3 with 1 lg drawer and 2 shelves. (2 doors are off but they are here)

It will need to be disassembled and will take at least 4 very strong men to lift the top off from the cabinet base.

This is my last post on my business page. It seems like yesterday that I was trying to figure out what my dream would look like, how it would take shape. Several asked what I had in mind for goals. All I hoped for back then was that people would like my food enough to pay me for it!
I had a wonderful run of eight years and have had the pleasure of making new friends and serving my community. I will always treasure the special opportunities I've been privileged to experience because of ownership of a small business.

Many thanks to my husband, without whose support and encouragement I couldn't/wouldn't have even started.
My heartfelt thanks goes out to all who allowed me to serve and
to my faithful help (I told them they had to find replacements for themselves when they left, so I always had amazing helpers!)
I am most grateful to God for giving me the strength and stamina and the many, many blessings He showered upon me throughout my catering career.

For those of you who will yearn for my cooking, please consider supporting my fundraising efforts to continue going on mission trips. I will be making soups and maybe THAT DRESSING that you can order through my fundraising page: Sandy's Savory Soups

I reflect on my thoughts I posted when my kitchen was completed, only now it has a different ending - - -

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to experience God's love through the ministry of OKCity Center . Last week our team, along with local volunteers, helped with organizing, wrapping, packaging and managing the delivery of the thousands of gifts for over 600 neighborhood families. The Center also hosted a HUGE Christmas party for around 500 guests. Children got to see Santa Claus and families were treated to a mouthwatering beef brisket dinner.

Due to the generosity of a local utility company, the first 150 children to see Santa were able to get a free bicycle!!

I personally worked all week with the one lone woman in (where else?😉) the kitchen to help feed our team, the staff and also the neighborhood children and a few "regulars" from the streets. We also prepared a side dish and desserts for the Christmas party. She was such a cheerful and lovely person. She was amazing not only in the kitchen, but she also made the party decorations and oversaw their hanging. All of this and she still made it home at the end of very long days to spend time with her husband and three children and her newly moved mother from California. Christy is truly inspiring!

I am humbled by the warm welcome we received from the Center staff. From the time we arrived until our last goodbyes, we experienced love and gratitude.

I am thankful for our small, but determined team. We were told that we helped accomplish all the work in record time.

I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of you who helped make this trip possible through your generous giving and support of my soup sales. It is because of and through your kindness that work like this can happen.
Please continue to watch for more soup sales as I'm not finished with mission work yet!

And that's a wrap. Just made the last delivery in my career to the ladies at Johnston and Associates, my wonderful tax preparers(pictured below)! For their Christmas party they ordered the fan favorite Chicken Romano, buttery smashed potatoes, green beans almandine and freshly made rolls. Let their celebration begin!! 🤩🎉🎄🎁

I will be off social media for the next 7 days as I am joining my team to travel on our mission trip to Oklahoma City. I'll be posting pictures and tales of our trip after I return. Please keep our team and our daily tasks in your prayers so that we can be the servants God wants us to be. ❤️
