The Cottage is my haven away from home. My unique cups & tea pots, vintage clothing, Victorian costume collection, as well as a sewing machine and lifetime supply of fabric finally have their own home. It is always more fun when you can share your special treasures with a friend. Come join me for an afternoon of tea. Plan a special birthday or holiday tea for friends or family members. Offer the time-honored simplicity of a tea party-themed club meeting or wedding shower. In addition to teas, I present programs based on women's issues of the Victorian era . . . Women's Suffrage, friendship traditions, and 19th and 20th century fashion. As a historian, my focus is on strong women and their role in history . . .women such as "Lady Lawyers" Clara Foltz and Beva Lockwood, Queen Victoria, Clara Barton, and Kathryn Wright, lone sister of the famous Wright Brothers and a celebrity in her own right.
