We went to Utah for Thanksgiving and I got to do a few shoots while I was there. This fam is also my fam, cousin-in-laws, if that’s a thing. They are so cute and I feel so special when I get asked to do photos for anyone when I’m states away.

My heart about exploded doing these. Their original photographer fell through and it was a last minute shoot request that turned into magic. The lighting, the horses, and the glowing mama to be. Thank you Janae and Julian for trusting me to do these! It meant a lot to me.

So many amazing fams this year! I’m always always so grateful my people from near and far who continue to choose me to take their yearly family photos! Before we know it, we’ll be looking back ten years from now filled with nostalgia and cherishing the times we can’t get back. Thank you, truly 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Hey, it’s me! It’s been a while since I’ve done an intro and since we moved from the farmlands of Idaho to the mountains of Colorado it seems like a good time to do it again.

Some facts about me:

- I’m a wife to an ex-punk rocker turned CEO and a mom to two hooligan males who keep me on my toes and a beastly 120lb Bernese Mountain Dog named Ozzie

- my dream job since forever ago was to become a photographer for National Geographic so I got my BFA in photojournalism from the University of Montana in the late 2000s

- I’m from Montana and I’ll probably let you know that within 60 seconds of meeting you

- I am 13 years sober from alcohol and drugs, best decision I ever made

- I am now addicted to CrossFit, even if I’m mediocre at it

- My favorite music is probably country but I can get down to some heavy metal blast beats, EDM, or gangster rap, too. My favorite concert I’ve ever been to is probably Explosions in the Sky or Jason Isbell, maybe Zach Bryan. I’ve been to a lot of them .

- I published a real hard cover book of a photo project I did where I briefly interviewed random strangers in my hometown and took their photo. It’s called Missoula Rabble and is one of my biggest accomplishments to date, besides my fam.

- I have a very dry sense of humor
