FROM THE ATLANTIC PROGRESSION CATALOG — AP006

Doug Crawford's Skirring is a record that understands the value of space.

The original unfolds through restrained bass movement, echoing vocal textures and subtle percussion. There is a familiar early-2000s progressive character to the arrangement, but its strength comes from how patiently everything develops.

Vini Camalcha brings a warmer four-on-the-floor groove and a pumping bassline to his interpretation, giving the track a different kind of forward movement.

Mike Bentley takes the deeper route, with chugging bass, warm atmospheres and an understated progressive house structure suited to the opening hours of a long set.

Three versions, each finding a different place in the night.

ATLANTIC PROGRESSION ARCHIVES — AP005

A fast breakbeat. Wandering vocals. Small sounds appearing at the edges of the mix.

Tunnel, from noideahowtoparty and GeckoPuppy, is built around constant movement. The original follows a restless broken rhythm through shifting textures and unexpected details, never staying in one place for long.

For The Idahoan's Hells Canyon Remix, the rhythm changes completely.

A rolling four-on-the-floor bassline pulls the track into indie dance territory, with filtered synths, acid lines and spacious arrangements giving the original ideas somewhere else to live.

Two versions of the same track, taking very different roads.
