Cambridge Smoke Cambridge Smoke | Catering came to the Cape Cod Jerk Fest and LEFT WITH BOTH TITLES.

2026 Winner — Best Jerk Sauce AND Best Jerk Meat!

And I have to say this personally: that was genuinely one of the best chicken wings I have ever eaten in my life. The flavor was all the way through, the meat was tender, and that sauce? Whew. To die for.

Then came the shrimp. Now anybody who knows me knows I’m not usually a fried-food girl, but that deep-fried shrimp was SO good. Crispy, flavorful, and somehow not heavy at all. Add that sauce and it was over.

This win was well earned.

Let’s talk about our volunteers! They were amazing! From marking vendor spots in the rain, to getting to the green very early, to manning the tent, to judging the competition, to managing the competitions, to running all over the place all day! The kids stole the show at the first annual Cape Cod Jerk Food & Fun Festival and if you came with a kid then you know! It was a joy to see the kids volunteering to perform. They had so much fun at the at village . Next year we will ask for more from the kid’s village sponsor so we can have more things to keep them occupied. Thank you for bringing the kids out! Big up to the brave kids who came on stage to sing and dance and big ups to Malachi (son of the talented Marsha. They deserve their own post and it’s coming)He was so incredibly on the saxophone! Yesterday you all made me so emotional. I cannot believe that you all showed up all day to support us! What a day! Thank you Al from the bottom of my heart to everyone who came out to the festival. We had so much fun with you. Thank you to our new friends from NY and Philly, our new aunties from up north. Thank you to everyone who came up us saying that they saw the event on social media and the marketing made them want to come 🫶🏾 we are happy to have brought you such a fun and engaging event and we look forward to doing it again next year! ❤️

A HUGE shoutout to our vendors!

With very limited funding, your vendor fees played a major role in helping us cover permits, supplies and so many of the little things it took to bring this festival to life.

And many of you traveled from far outside Cape Cod to be here, bringing your food, products, energy and faith in a brand-new event.

We appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for betting on us, for serving the crowds, for dancing, laughing and helping create such a joyous day! Please look out for my email later this week with our festival summery information ❤️

Yesterday was pure JOY.

People came from New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Brockton, Dorchester, Connecticut and beyond. They ate, danced, sang, shopped, laughed, stayed through the little drops of rain and turned the Hyannis Village Green into one beautiful celebration of food, culture and community.

Vendors had lines. Kids took over the dance floor. Performers got standing ovations. Firefighters bought jerk food. Police danced. Strangers grabbed the mic and joined the fun.

I spent most of the day running around and didn’t fully realize what we had created until it was over.

Today, I do.

I am grateful. I am emotional. And I am so, so proud.

Cape Cod Jerk Fest… we did that. More specific thank yous coming up soon!
