Celebrating Jo Van Gogh-Bonger ✨🌍 On this , we honour Jo, the woman who ensured the world would come to know and love Vincent van Gogh’s art.
About half a year after Vincent died, Jo’s husband and Vincent’s brother Theo van Gogh passed away. Jo then took it upon herself, to preserve and promote Vincent’s work. At a time when female voices in the art world were often overlooked, she strategically exhibited, published, and tirelessly advocated for his paintings and letters. Her actions have shaped his legacy into what it is today.

Like Jo, so many women have played vital roles in shaping history, often behind the scenes.
This day is about celebrating all women who make an impact—whether in the arts, sciences, communities, or beyond.
