Huron Rotary Club does such great things for our community. Appreciate them choosing our venue for this event.
Legendary Cleveland Guardians ambassador: Bob DiBiasio was the speaker today at Huron Rotary Club and he electrified a packed house. Not only is Bob the Sr. Vice President of Public Affairs, but he’s worked for the organization for 47 years and eats and breathes Guardians baseball. 👏🏽
A few stats that he shared:
⚾️ The American League, founded in 1901, is celebrating its 125th year this year. Cleveland was one of its Charter teams!
🥉 In the last 13 years, the Guardians have the 3rd most wins, only behind the Yankees and Dodgers.
🇩🇴 Keep your eyes on José Ramírez this year! He’s slated to become the 9th player in the history of the MLB to hit 300 home runs AND steal 300 bases! (🧠 for those wanting even more info: José needs just nine more home runs to join this exclusive club. He officially surpassed 300 career stolen bases on May 2, 2026. 🙌🏽)
🫱🏼🫲🏾 The philosophy of their team and organization is about building great men on and off the field, and they take a holistic approach - including helping 26 men in their training programs earn their GEDs last year. (And then they celebrated them!)
💯 Their recipe for success: they find talented men of high character, they give them the resources to grow and be the best they can be, and then they layer on opportunity to play and belong to a team.
