🌿 Let’s talk about the Swap Wall!
One of our favorite FREE activities at Botanical Soirée is the Plant Swap Wall! Bring a cutting, leave a cutting, and head home with something new. Here’s everything you need to know:
🌱 What can I swap?
• Fresh cuttings
• Rooted cuttings
• Succulent leaves
• Herbs
• Nodes
🚫 What can’t I swap?
• Full potted plants.
Our vendors work incredibly hard to bring you the best established plants, and the Swap Wall is designed to add to the experience—not compete with the vendors you came to shop with!
🔄 How does it work?
It’s an honor-system, take one, give one setup. Bring a cutting, place it on the wall, and choose another to take home!
Can I swap more than once?
Absolutely! Just bring some variety. Please don’t bring five cuttings of the same neon pothos and take home five different plants. That makes the wall boring pretty quickly.
🏷️ Do my cuttings need to be labeled?
Nope! You’re welcome to label them, but it isn’t required.
💧 Should I put my cutting in water?
No. Please do not add water or substrate to the Swap Wall cups. Cuttings can handle the short duration of the event without water, and keeping the cups dry allows us to safely accommodate things like succulents and cacti too.
🌿 Will there be rare plants?
Maybe—but don’t count on finding a $100 cutting! We’ve had surprises like Monstera albo cuttings show up before, but you’re much more likely to find succulents, syngoniums, hoyas, pothos, philodendrons and other more common plants. Think of it as a fun way to expand the variety in your collection, not trade for high-value plants.

Nothing to sign up for! The Swap Wall is completely FREE and self-serve. Just bring your cuttings with you to the show.
