‼️❌ SCAMMER SEASON ❌‼️ BEWARE ❌‼️

Customer calls us today, she found a deal on Facebook marketplace. They made her pay $175 as a holding deposit, then they tried to get her to pay another $300 “refundable deposit” to cover insurance. Luckily she only paid the first deposit. They then blocked her.

This particular scammer was called “YourVeryOwnBounceHouseRental” and the name was David Bell claiming to be based out of Huntsville. This scammer has even setup an invoicing document and has a website…. 😱

Our advice to you:

Cross reference companies on Facebook to Google, most reputable (but not all) should have a page in addition to a Google page! Most scammers will not have a Google page as Google requires a strict verification process.

Also check their reviews! Most (but not all) should have Facebook and Google reviews. Most scammers will often delete and make new pages often.

Although deposits are not uncommon, if you are unsure of the company, ask for a secured payment link rather than giving them your card info. Therefore if a scam happens, you can perform a charge back. Also, most legit and reputable companies will have secured payment methods!

Lastly, and respectfully, although we do realize times are hard.. the best price may not always mean the BEST company. Find a reputable company and build a relationship! Even if that means… paying a little more!

Chris is the Owner of Jump Around Moonwalks since its opening March 22nd 2019! Prior to Jump Around Moonwalks, he was also the owner of Family Time Moonwalks 2011-2014 and prior to that he was the driver/helper of his parents bounce house business called Hip Hop Moonwalks which was open from 2006-2009!

Chris plays a key role in the company as many business owners do! He manages the marketing, customer relations, accounting, employee management, logistics, warehouse management… you get the point!
