The average wedding cost in the US is $25,000-$50,000.
You can have a $30,000 wedding and hire a $500 photographer and your wedding will look like a $500 wedding, OR, you can have a $5000 wedding and hire a $5000 photographer and your wedding will look like a $30,000 wedding.
I cannot stress this enough, do not try to cut corners on your photography and videography.
Don't let Uncle Joe with his "expensive" camera take photos of one of the most important days of your life. He will freeze up when situations are not ideal, and trust me, wedding days are full of "oops" moments. He will not know how to handle troubleshooting with weather/lighting/posing, etc. I have the experience to know that weddings often don't follow the timeline perfectly. I am experienced in dealing with raw emotions on your wedding day. I know how to handle ornery groom who dislike taking photos. I can round up a crowd and make them laugh so the photo isn't so "forced." I know how to deal with the best man who has had a few too many drinks before the ceremony. I can calm you when you get frantic about lacing that dress that looked so easy in the shop but now looks like a 3000 piece jig-saw puzzle. I can mend the situation when your cake topper doesn't look exactly like you had hoped for, or your bridesmaids dress won’t zip. That takes years of experience...
HIRE PROFESSIONAL: Because when the day is done, the decor you spent thousands on will be stuffed away in a box or sold on Facebook, the dress will be hung in a closet never to be touched again, the rented tux will be returned, the flowers will die, the cake will be eaten, the dj will pack up and go home, the makeup will wipe away and the hair will come down but what a photographer can give you are images that you will cherish for the rest of your life.
Think about it, how often do you get your entire family together in one place? Hire someone that understands the importance of capturing all aspects of your day.
Don't make hiring a photographer just another thing to check off of your list. Photography should be your second biggest investment next to your venue (and sometimes more than your venue).
I may not be the cheapest photographer, but I have invested a lot of time and money into crafting my skill so that you never have to worry about if I "got the shot" because you can trust that I wouldn't miss it. I offer super easy payment plans and will work with you any way I can to make your day one you will always remember.
Let’s create memories together.
