Everyone should look at this and ask themselves whether the money is really worth crippling a horse at a young age, because you want him ridden by two, and throw him on the market as "been there done that" and being able to "turn on a dime"...
I will never not post this no matter how controversial. It’s weird to me that this even is controversial because as this diagram shows it’s just the way things are. Your horse is not done growing and its growth plates are not closed by two or three years old. I would never start training my horse to ride before five , EVER ! There are so many things you can do with your horse other than ride while they are finishing growing. You can do ground driving, you can teach lots of ground manners and even tricks if you want to.. To rush your horse is a disservice to them. I hope the diagram I posted below helps educate people on how a horse truly develops.
