is based out of Huntington, WV and was created out of the frustration of one local fellow who was tired of seeing so many talented bands from our region go unnoticed. Through years of experience, on every side of music, (playing in bands, running a music festival, booking for venues, booking individual artists), Ian Thornton decided to take matters into his own hands. Loaded with an eclectic roster that he’d put up against any scene in the country, he set out to create a management/booking agency that could provide his artists with the respect they deserve. not only books for nationally acclaimed artists, but can also assist in event planning. Drawing from the experience of booking the entertainment for such events as the Huntington Music & Arts Festival (of which he’s the founder) and the Rails & Ales Festival (West Virginia’s largest craft beer festival), he has the experience to provide any size gathering with the right production. The endorsement marks Weymann’s first artist partnership in nearly a century since Jimmie Rodgers, pioneering father of country music, famously played his custom-built signature model, hand-crafted by the Weymann custom shop.

For Short, the relationship represents a meaningful connection to the legacy of a storied American instrument maker while placing his own singular approach to the guitar alongside some of the instrument’s most influential voices.

“We’re going to build some never before seen models, including Weymann’s first semi-hollow body guitar, and we’re going to take the world with us on the journey so you can see it being built in real time.”

“A signature instrument should capture the identity of the artist behind it, and Jeremy has both the musical ability and creative vision to inspire something genuinely distinctive. We want to build guitars with Jeremy, not simply put his name on them; creating instruments that become part of his artistic legacy.” says Niko de Weymann.

With plans laid out for the first model, affectionately referred to as the “Space Funk Machine”, the 2 plan to build the guitar together and release it this fall while Jeremy is on the road.

“It’s going to be so unbelievably fun to take this thing I dreamed up in my head, and to actually hold it in my hands and play it on stage every night. It truly feels like a magician getting his magic wand.”

Short’s schedule is busy with dates across 13 states, and he plans to put his new model to the test. “We’re hitting the road pretty hard these next few months, and I’m taking it out with me first thing, so you’ll be able to come check it out, and most importantly hear it. I’m excited to see what people think.”
