Celebrating 25 Years of Service 🌟

This month, we are proud to celebrate Marcial, Environmental Steward, for an incredible 25 years at Mo-Ranch. 💙

For the past two and a half decades, he has helped care for this wonderful place so many people consider a home away from home. From early mornings to long days behind the scenes, his hard work has helped create the welcoming environment our guests and staff experience every day.

If you know him, you know he’s a man of few words, at least until his sense of humor sneaks out. Around staff, he’s known for quietly making people laugh and “if you are able to have a conversation with him that is over 30 seconds, consider yourself lucky,” says our President/CEO, Tim Huchton 😄

Beyond the jokes, he is someone people have counted on year after year. His steady presence, dedication, and care for Mo-Ranch have made a lasting impact over the years.

Employees like him are part of the heart of this place, and we are deeply grateful for everything he has contributed through the years.

Thank you, Marcial, for 25 years of hard work and faithful dedication to our beautiful Mo-Ranch.

From Camper to Camp Leader — Thank You, Victoria!

Some Mo-Ranch stories come full circle, and Victoria Sheffield’s journey is one of those stories. 💚

Victoria’s Mo-Ranch story began years ago as a camper, where she experienced the joy, friendship, and belonging that make camp so special. She later returned as a counselor and eventually stepped into leadership as Associate Director of Summer Camps, helping create those same experiences for future generations of campers.

Over the years, Victoria has become so much more than a staff member. She became a familiar face of camp life, the one cheering campers on during evening programs, laughing through spa days and camp dances, encouraging counselors, and helping campers feel safe enough to simply be themselves.

One of the things Victoria shared that stood out most was this:
“I hope campers take home the feeling that they can truly be themselves without judgment.”

That heart for people shaped the way she led and the atmosphere she helped create at camp.

From campfire nights and Mo Downs to sunrise views from the catwalk, Victoria helped create countless memories that campers and staff will carry with them for years to come.

As she prepares for her next adventure, including a summer in Maine, we are incredibly grateful for the time, heart, and leadership she gave to Mo-Ranch.

Thank you, Victoria, for growing up with us, growing into leadership with us, and leaving camp better than you found it. We will miss you dearly and are cheering you on every step of the way.
