Assignment: Get professional photos taken.
Challenge: What to do with all the food?
Solution: Have a party!
Tonight's guest will be eating a hodge-podge of foods. Not sure everything will be up to s***f, as do a day-long photo shoot doesn't exactly lead to best end reults. But, I'm hoping most will be happy!
Today's cook includes:
• Pulled Pork (BBQ Rub Spicy)
• Brisket (First Strike & SPG)
• Smoked Chopped Chicken (First Strike and Chicken Dust)
• Jamaican Jerk Marinated Mixed Grill (lamb, chicken, country pork ribs, wings-marinade from my website)
• Ribs (St Louis and Baby Back - BBQ Rub Spicy)
• Burgers (First Strike and Steak & Burger)
• Steaks (Ribeyes of course!)
• Wings (Jack's Blend Spicy BBQ Rub)
• Grilled Chicken (First Strike and Chicken Dust)
…plus enough sides to require their own ZIP code.
Meanwhile, the photographer is following me around trying to capture “the perfect shot” while I’m running between smokers, grills, coolers, and questioning every life decision that led to cooking enough food for a small village.
If the photos turn out blurry, it’s because I haven’t stood still since Tuesday.
Big thanks to my son Riley Groot for documenting the madness. Stay tuned for the finished shots—and if you smell smoke drifting across the county, don’t worry. That’s just dinner.
