We are so excited for the amazing cast and crew of this incredible project, "The Liberator". Not only is it an inspirational story, but it was produced and filmed locally and a family friendly community was built and nurtured in the process. Congratulations to and hats off for William McCann, a class act from start to finish. And the costumes, of course, our favorite part, we had so much fun helping to bring the characters to life!

Produced and filmed in central Massachusetts in 2021, THE LIBERATOR is an original, independent feature film based on the life of Ireland's greatest champion Daniel O’Connell (1775 - 1847). Sweeping yet intimate, this true story traces O’Connell’s rise from the dirt floors of a peasant cottage in Kerry to the marble steps of the Palace of Westminster in London. The August 29 showing at MFAT will be its second screening ever.

Ron is CEO of "Just Water" and in partnership with Texas Baptist Men’s Water Ministry, travels to impoverished or war-torn parts of the world and into places wrecked by natural disasters. They’re making a big impact on people’s health – often giving them clean water for the first time. Ron is 75 years old and still does 2 shows/per year as Elvis at no charge. He adds: "The ladies won't let me retire and as long as those senior saints want me to keep singing them love songs, I'll keep doing it!" So fun! So inspirational!

How Creative Costuming Came To Be...

Creative Costuming had its humble start in the 1980s, as a small costume company operating out of the owner’s basement of his home in Derry, NH.

The business soon grew to the point that it needed a new home, and so it moved from Derry to Nashua, NH, operating out of a converted factory on the banks of the Merrimack River for several years, establishing itself as “Costumes of Nashua”.

Continued growth and the advent of the internet necessitated yet another move, and Costumes of Nashua relocated back across the river once more , this time to its current home in Hudson, NH.

A website was launched, followed shortly by online stores on sites such as Amazon, Ebay, NewEgg and Bonanza. The company also established its presence on Facebook and other social media platforms.

In 2016, Costumes of Nashua began the process of re-branding the company so that it would appeal to a wider scope of shoppers, as well as the communities which were developing around the costume industry: cosplayers, LARPers, the drag community, and more- in addition to working to retain the loyalty of our family of faithful regular customers, and the communities, schools, performing arts companies, and the private or civic organizations to which they belonged.

Thus, the name “Creative Costuming” came into being, and a redesigned website was launched on the Shopify platform, with plans to run the new brand concurrently with the old brand, until such time as the old name could be phased out.

In the fall of 2017, Creative Costuming became the exclusive owner and distributor of Tabi's Characters : famous for its Broadway-quality costumes, Tabi’s had become an icon in the costume industry, and upon the retirement of its principal owner, the decision was made to transfer all of Tabi’s assets from their facility in Los Angeles to the Creative Costume facility in Hudson NH.

Since then, Creative Costuming has been absorbed in finding new ways to serve its expanding customer base, while ensuring that it remains a business of value to the local customers and communities which gave it its start. We are the designers of dreams.

Our feet are on the ground, but our eyes are on the stars.
