Cloudbelly / cloudbelly is a Western Massachusetts-based indie-folk band known for their emotionally charged songwriting and expansive, chameleonic sound. Centered around Corey Laitman’s poetic lyrics and haunting vocals, the band draws from alt-folk, art-rock, and ambient textures to create music that feels nostalgic, cinematic, and raw.
With a lineup featuring guitarist Sam Perry, drummer/producer Nate Mondschein, and guitarist/vocalist Ciarra Fragale, Cloudbelly delivers live performances that are both emotionally immersive and disarmingly playful.

Come hear their new single “Oh, Antarctica!” (the first from their forthcoming LP) live on the Park Theater stage Saturday, 10/17 at 8pm.

🎶 SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12 • JAMES MADDOCK + BEN HIGGINBOTHAM (aka CYPRESS)

Some nights at the Park are about discovering an artist you’ve never heard before. And some nights are about finally getting an artist into the room who has been quietly influencing the Folk & Americana world for years.

James Maddock is one of those songwriters.

With a voice that Relix Magazine describes as “lived-in” and “craggy,” Maddock has built a remarkable catalog of songs that are deeply human, beautifully crafted, and meant to be heard live.

From his days fronting Wood to his celebrated solo records Sunrise on Avenue C, Wake Up and Dream, Another Life and The Green, Maddock has established himself as one of the most respected singer-songwriters working today. Along the way, he’s shared stages and collaborated with artists including Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nile, Counting Crows, The Waterboys and more.

And now, he’s bringing that songwriting and that unmistakable voice to the Park.

Opening the evening is Ben Higginbotham (aka Cypress), a Queens-based singer-songwriter originally from Dallas, TX. Ben’s melodic songwriting sits somewhere between the intimacy of Ray LaMontagne and Phoebe Bridgers and the timeless storytelling of Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen and Townes Van Zandt. Cypress’s debut EP A Fine Line has already found a wide audience, with “Still Blue” surpassing 2.3 million Spotify streams.

Two exceptional songwriters.
One intimate room.

relix put it this way: “James Maddock possesses the kind of lived-in craggy voice that would sound authoritative if he were singing the sports pages. Fortunately, he doesn’t need to do that because his compositional skills are a match for his delivery.”
Having performed with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nile, Aaron Comess (Spin Doctors) and David Immergluck (Counting Crows),

James most recently completed a 25 show run with Counting Crows in the UK and Europe. His latest release, Forever June, is available to stream on all platforms.

Catch him on the Park Theater stage next month on October 10th at 8pm!
