Today, we remember Lois Valerie Howey.
Born December 23, 1924, Lois was the beloved daughter of William J. and Mary Grace Howey. Her life was tragically cut short on August 13, 1941, at just 16 years old.
In honor of Lois, we’re sharing this beautiful photograph of the Howey family at their home, The Howey Mansion. Pictured are William and Mary Grace Howey with their two daughters and the family dog, offering us a rare glimpse into the family whose story is forever woven into the history of this home.
More than 80 years later, Lois’s memory remains a part of The Howey Mansion. Today, we pause to remember her life, her place in this family, and the young woman whose story remains part of the history held within these walls.
