Today is very emotional for me in so many ways. 💔🧡

The dates always play back in my head from May 2021 on a Friday , I went back home to New Orleans for a wedding, and Saturday we moved my mama from the 9th Ward to the 7th Ward. Truth is… she never wanted to leave that 9️⃣ forever her home. 🧡

My mama passed away Tuesday morning June 1, 2021 while our family was in Disney on vacation in Orlando, and not a single day goes by that I don’t ask myself why I couldn’t be there to save her. That pain never really leaves. That plane ride felt like hours , crying on a stranger shoulder will never be forgotten 🥺

But deep down, I know she’s watching over all of us smiling. 🙏🏽

Everything we do is because of her.Every sacrifice.Every late night.Every success.Every customer we serve.

My babies are keeping their promise to their grandmother — she will NEVER be forgotten. 🧡⚜️

A lot of people celebrate Mother’s Day with joy, but for me… it’s hard celebrating myself when my first best friend is gone. 💔

Still, I thank GOD for the memories, the lessons, the strength she poured into me, and the legacy she left behind through our family and Orange Lee’s.
