We are seeking a sales manager to book events at the Crystal Ballroom at the Rice. This person uses their sparkling personality to sell the brand, source clients, track down leads like no one else, and can close the deal every time. They are driven, tenacious, and have no fear doing a cold call, networking or representing the brand at any social gathering. In fact, they excel at shaking hands, have a grin ear to ear, and have a “never met a stranger” attitude.

Qualifications:
Minimum three years’ experience in sales. Restaurant/catering/hotel/resort private event experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of sales performance along with marketing/prospecting programs that drive event revenue.
Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients.
Gets along well with others and has positive personality.
Able to use relevant computer applications, Microsoft office, catering software.
Multitasking skills, time management and a sense of urgency.
Dresses for success.
Has integrity, does the right thing when no one is looking.
