The livest show to hit Houstons poetry, spoken word, comedy, and all around creative art scene is taking over. Founded in 2012 by a group of College students empowered by IslamInSpanish looking to create a live, clean, and art filled environment to welcome local talent to showcase their skills. GenerAction took off being displayed at numerous venues around the city. We're constantly working with m
usicians, comedians, debaters, or just individuals who love art to join the movement. There are various issues that the youth face in this day and age. Some consist of problems that occur at home while others are faced in the everyday world that we live in. Not knowing how to approach certain issues (drugs, depression, self-expression, and ect.) serious problems could come about especially when one doesn't know who to turn to for guidance. GenerAction is an aspiring movement constructed around society issues to develop a save haven, which welcomes those from youth to college students to create and share life experiences, ideas, and projects using media arts. Gener-Action is a term broken down into two revolving words; Generation of Action. These words compliment each other to acknowledge the fact that we're representing the next generation of new leaders, but also taking the necessary actions to tackle social issues.
