Mother’s Day hits different when you’re missing your own mom… and the sound of your dad’s voice calling just to say, “Happy Mother’s Day, baby.” He never missed a year.
I do my best to smile and be present for my children because they deserve joy. But the truth is, today holds so many layers. I’m grateful. I’m tired. I’m full of love. And I’m still healing.
Motherhood is both a gift and a grind. It’s fulfilling and sometimes painfully thankless. It’s tears behind closed doors and laughter at the most unexpected moments. It’s creating memories for your kids while silently missing the ones who created yours.
To every woman holding joy and grief in the same breath today, you’re not alone.
I see you. I am you.
Happy Mother’s Day.
