Courtney & Tai Wedding Day, part one. Starting with all the beautiful details — wedding stationery, custom playing cards, welcome bags, and an exquisite collection of bridal jewelry for every one of Courtney’s looks. The dress. The night before the big day, we turned three oceanfront villas at The Ocean Club into one large venue for Courtney and Tai’s welcome party. Wildflowers built over the existing pool in the center villa to create one expansive deck — our lounge space for the band, dancing, and two large bars. The villas on either side became dining spaces with buffets and seating. Our largest villa party to date.
After a Shabbat blessing and toasts, a surprise for the bride and groom was carried out onto the main deck. Talented artists and dear family friends had saved a chandelier from the original hotel lobby when it was being replaced and transformed it into a piece of art for Courtney and especially Tai, who grew up on the property.
After hugs and tears, the band kicked it up and everyone danced the night away until it was time to call it. After all, there was the wedding the next day!

On Friday, Courtney and Tai brought the celebration to Rose Island and Kerzi Beach. From a private dock, guests boarded ferries for a quick boat ride over to Rose Island.
This part of our weekend plan took a little extra hunting to find the perfect venue — this was our fifth, but final and best plan! It was important to find somewhere unique and true to the Bahamian experience. Rose Island was part of Tai’s youth in the Bahamas, and a place they visited often while cruising on Tai’s boat. And in true Tai fashion, he was captain on the day of!
As a nod to the bride, lover of games, the backgammon queen and teacher of spicy uno, we broke the group into teams for Kerzi Beach Games, all designed by . Swipe to see the fun!

Happiest First Anniversary to Courtney & Tai! 🥂

If you’re lucky, you have one or two weddings a year that you go to bed and wake up still dreaming about. These are the weddings that keep the excitement alive as you count down the days, the ones you’re looking forward to most.

Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing the multi day, event-filled celebration that took place on Paradise Island.

We start with a sentimental rehearsal dinner at Nobu in Atlantis. Over nigiri and sake, parents, siblings, and close friends shared poignant, deeply personal stories of Courtney and Tai’s childhood and early adult years. Then everyone closed out the night on their feet, belting out every word of Pink Pony Club, napkins swirling over head. That’s when I knew it was going to be a very fun weekend.

There are weddings you plan, and then there are weddings you feel.
We still can’t get over that aisle. Or the way Cory looked walking down it. Or Troy’s face when he saw her. Or the parents’ love filled toasts. Or the junkanoo parade that sent them into the night laughing harder than we’ve ever seen. Honestly, we’re not sure we’ve fully recovered.
This one will stay with us for a long time.

There was not a dry eye over the multi day wedding celebrations for Cory and Troy at . Here’s a sneak peek of the wedding day. This was one of the most joyful, heartfelt wedding celebrations that we’ve ever witnessed.
