Good Morning Good Morning from Sew at the Bay in Rockport,Texas !

This is my last day here for this month ..i will be headed home this afternoon !

Its been a wonderful time of sewing, relaxing,alittle napping 😆 and Laughing !

Today we are going to go celebrate one of the ladies Birthdays who is 85 today !

She is 30 years ahead of me ..wow I pray i will be full of life traveling and enjoying quilting then..if the Lord does not come beforehand..

To be honest I cant imagine what this world would be like in another 30 years BUT Im putting my TRUST in the Lord to take care of what may concern me and Live today !

So Get up and Let's get to Living Life for the Glory of God !

Encourage where you can ..Help where you are able and Love Love Love ❤️

And Never Stop Believing the all things are possible to him who Believes in Jesus Christ ♥️

Get out that project you have been putting off..

Get out that sewing machine and put the foot to the petal..

Sing a song or maybe do alittle dance ..read a book..

Go for a walk ..call that friend or Love one ..

Step out of your comfort zone ..you might just find what your heart needs ..

Just do something ..

Good Morning Good Morning its a Great Day to Live for the Glory of God ...

Last night I decided to go to sleep at 10 pm..after a hot bath and time to reflect/ pray over somethings ..

I just layed there in bed not able to sleep 🙃 well that turned into a night of prayer until after 2 am ..

I was like Lord when shall I fall 😴

I awoke this morning at 6:30 ready for the day ..took my time to pray and reflect on the Goodness of God ..being greatful for all that He has done and continues to do in our Life..

I have walked through some hard seasons the last few years that left me crying out for help just to make it through ..most of which I never uttered a word to others..I quietly surrendered it all unto the Lord asking for healing and Restoration..

And I can say today it is Well with my Soul..

He has given me a peace I cant explain..

An assurance that He is with me to see me through ..

Im sharing this today as a reminder that Our Lord and Savior is with You and I ..He promised in his Word to Never leave us nor forsake us..even in our suffering he is there..

His banner over us is Love ..

Allow His Love to flow through You today ..

If all you can do today is utter a whisper ..

Whisper his Name ..

Jesus

Jesus is His Name ..

He is our Comforter

He is our Healer

He is our Peace

He is the Way maker

Just say His Name ..

Jesus ..

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ today and Be saved from all sin..from anything that has you bound ..He is the Way Truth and Life ..

Oh How He Loves you and I ...

Just Believe on the Lord ..

Ask the Lord to invade every area of your Life and watch what he can and will do as we surrender unto him..

His desire is for you to taste and see that he is good..

He is Good ...he makes the crooked places straight in our Lives ..he Restores our Joy..cause he is Full of Joy..we find comfort cause he is the Comforter..we find peace down in our soul because he is the Prince of Peace ...

Rest in his Love today and remember his desire is You..

Yes You ..He Longs to be good to You !

Im enjoying my morning being the first to awake ..

Its a quiet morning but very soon more quest will arrive ..

Oh taste and see that the Lord is Good and his banner over You is Love ..

I made it back to Sew By the Bay..

An open sew/Crafting Retreat!

This time i brought my first Tshirt quilt with me ...

I so enjoyed my time with the ladies i met few weeks ago that I just had to come back ..

Let the Sewing and laughing begin..

The drive is absolutely peaceful and beautiful to this Fishing Town ..

I just might go watch the sunset at the beach this evening...

I got Joy down in my soul that I litterally cant control..

Thankful Blessed for this time with other ladies ...

Sharing an update on first ever Tshirt quilt ..

I bought t-shirts last year for the class that I took at Two Chicks Quilting in Ganado,Tx !

I wanted it a be a faith based quilt for me ..

I finally decided to try free motion quilting on my longarm and with doing so ..it probally saved me around 90 dollars or so...

Is it perfect..No .. its my first one and I'm so glad I ventured out and tried something New ..

Working on redoing my binding right now and so once done I will share it hanging up for all to see ...

I am SO glad I got over being scared of the longarm ..

I can't stop now thinking about which quilt top next to put on the longarm..

It's actually Fun ...

I also am enjoying putting stickers on my oldest sewing machine/embroidery machine ..

When i went to an open sew last months and saw all the ladies with stickers ..I thought oh my I have to do this ..it actually
Is refreshing...

I pray yall enjoy your day and Please do get out something you have been putting off ..

For me I had been praying and praying for a breakthrough for me and Im so glad the Lord heard me ...

So if you are feeling the same way I was please hear me today ..take that step and say a prayer and watch and see what the Lord can do ...

Fear will stop you..cause you to be frozen ...not being affective to accomplish what you could achieve..

Can you Believe I bought this Longarm over 8 months ago just sitting in my room ..not being used ..

Partly due to fear...

Well out of frustration last night I decided it was time ..I overcome fear of the unknown and figured it out ...

After some hiccups ( tension and a needle hitting the ruler ( scared my husband and I ro the point he making me where safety classes now lol )

I was able to quilt my first project all by myself lol

Now is it perfect?

No But the thing is I did it ..I overcame my fears ..

I don't really know where I became fearful to try something new but last Night was a turning point for me !

So Today ..Have No Fear ...

Do Not give Up ..

Last week I was able to attend a 4 day open quilt retreat in Rock Port,Tx !

Sew by the Bay ..

There were 14 of us ladies...

This was my only 2 quilt retreat to attend. I must say my heart truly needed the time with them..

The knowledge and experience i saw was inspiring...

I encourage Everyone If you ever get a chance to gather with others in whatever craft you enjoy ...Do It !

I was able to make 3 lap quilt tops ..my first table runner ..a smaller one as well..and 24 pumpkin blocks ..and a mini Christmas quilt ( doll size )

I left there with many new friendships that I can't wait to see again each month as we gather again ...

RockPort Texas is a wonderful delightful town ...

Happy Saturday !

Today i was able to finish the pumpkin quilt top..

I picked up the Pumpkin Quilt Paper by Lori Holt of Bee in the Bonnet during the Texas Shop Hop !

It was so fun it was addicting lol

Found the Fabric at Two Chicks in Ganado Tx !

Now to figure out do i quilt it myself using Rulers ...

Or take it to have it quilted !

Happy Saturday everyone !

Today i was suspose to ride with my Scoville to look at a job 4 hours away ...BUT

My back decided for me ..

So today I am making the most of it ..

With this beautiful view and 13 Reindeer ready to be stuffed ...

It's time to see how many I can do before he gets home tonight ..
