TWENTY YEARS
It started with a wedding….. Our wedding, NOT a business plan. Not a five year strategy. A wedding, mine…. and realizing that creating celebrations for people was something I wanted to do as a hobby.
Twenty years ago today, I started a business without even realizing it, at the time I had no idea that one decision would completely change the course of my life.
Initially dreaming of becoming a fairy God mother to brides, I started my journey as a wedding planner, with my first event being July 2006 for a young lady who found me in the yellow pages. At that time I called on two friends to help me with the event, because I had no idea what I was doing.
Years later (7) after lots of events, good and not so good, I walked away from Corporate America. No safety net, no guarantee, just a vision a nudge & stern talking to from my husband and the belief that I could do this.
If anyone were to ask me what I’m most grateful for, it isn’t the awards, the growth, or any recognition. It’s my FAMILY, who gave me the reason to begin this journey and the motivation to keep going.
To the clients who’ve trusted us, especially those who have been with us from the very beginning. Your loyalty, friendship, and belief in what we do have meant more than you’ll ever know. Many of you have become more than clients; you’ve become part of our story, the stories I forget to post or the ones I’m not allowed to post. To team member who gave their best, every partner who believed in our vision, my family and friends who supported us through every season, THANK YOU!
