I am once again excited to announce that Bespoke Tea Parties by Laura is offering a unique Gin and Tea Tour of London!
As the name suggests this trip will focus on learning, tasting and enjoying the quintessential gin spirit and it's many variations. While in London we will visit the City of London Distillery and learn what it takes to make gin. To further gain an understanding of gin, we will enjoy a happy hour at my favorite, Mr Foggs Gin Parlour. We will also visit Dukes Bar which is famous for its connection to James Bond author Ian Fleming, who frequented the bar and allegedly inspired the iconic "shaken, not stirred" martini preference, along with the bar's reputation for serving exceptional, large, and ice-cold martinis. So large in fact, they limit customers to 2 martinis an evening.
As for the Tea part of the Gin and Tea tour, yes, we will be learning, baking and enjoying another quintessential British experience....Afternoon Tea. We will visit the Dough House and take an Afternoon Tea baking class where we will enjoy the fruits of our labors. If you want to understand tea itself there is no better place than taking a masterclass at Twining's. And finally, we will experience Afternoon Tea at the famous London Ritz where we will be pampered and spoiled.
As an added bonus and a way to enjoy both Gin and Tea together, we will climb aboard the Bombay Gin Afternoon Tea Bus. The best of both worlds!
The tour price includes shared accommodations, all meals, taxis, all tours, afternoon teas and classes mentioned above. Happy hour enjoyment is on your own. There will be plenty of time for sightseeing and shopping. I am looking at early June 2027. Minimum of 5 people.
I am also offering the option of an additional 2 night stay in Edinburgh where we will continue to enjoy Gin and Tea. Visiting Edinburgh allows us to experience the subtle difference between English and Scottish Afternoon Tea at the Magical Afternoon Tea Party at the Department of Magic. We will learn how to make various gin cocktails by attending the Mix and Muddle Class at the Edinburgh Gin Distillery. And again, a way to experience both together we will enjoy the Edinburgh Castle Afternoon Tea and Gin.
