In our fast-paced world, many conversations are filled with interruptions, assumptions, and reactions rather than true listening. Yet Scripture reminds us that slowing down—choosing to listen before speaking or reacting—creates space for grace to enter. When we listen with patience, we not only hear words but also the heart behind them.
Every pause before speaking is an opportunity to invite God’s wisdom into the conversation. Love is not always loud or expressive; sometimes it is silent, steady, and patient. To listen deeply is to mirror Christ, who heard the cries of the broken and responded with compassion instead of condemnation.
