Your reception will go by faster than anything else, so here’s how to make sure you actually get to experience it ⬇️

🍽️ Eat something early (not just a bite). Ask your coordinator or caterer to have a plate ready right after your entrance or during cocktail hour. Waiting until dinner usually means you won’t eat at all.

⏳ Build in a few minutes alone together. Step away for 5-10 minutes at some point in the night. It’s usually the only time things slow down.

✋ Don’t try to talk to every single guest. It sounds harsh, but it’s not realistic. Prioritize the people closest to you, and those who traveled far to be here and let the rest happen naturally.

💃 Stay on the dance floor! That’s where the energy is and where the memories are made. The timeline will keep moving with your without you.

❓ Assign someone else to handle questions. Your coordinator or trusted friend should be the point person so you’re not being pulled away for small issues.

⏰ Be intentional about your timeline. Too many formalities back-to-back can make the night feel rushed. Give yourself space to just exist in it.

📸 Take one mental snapshot. Pause, look around the room and actually take it in. It’s the moment most couples say they wish they had.
