The Amelia County Fair Needs Your Help!

We are fortunate to have access to a beautiful horse arena during the fair, but we are still looking for groups interested in putting on a performance or demonstration for our fairgoers.

Do you know of an equestrian group, riding club, drill team, mounted shooting organization, carriage driving group, rodeo act, or any other horse-related performance group that might be interested? We'd love to hear from them!

The Amelia County Fair Association will hold its monthly meeting tonight at the fairgrounds, 16501 Five Forks Rd.

🕖 Meeting starts at 7PM

We are still looking for volunteers to help with this year’s fair, and there are opportunities for everyone to get involved. Whether you want to help with planning, setup, events, admissions, vendors, or activities, we’d love to have you join us.

The Amelia County Fair Association will hold its monthly meeting tonight, March 17th at 7:00 PM at the Amelia County Administration Building. We encourage anyone interested in helping plan the fair and creating a fun, memorable event for our community to attend.

We will also be introducing our new Junior Council, open to middle and high school students. This is a great opportunity for young people to get involved, volunteer, and learn more about how the fair comes together.

This year marks America’s 250th Birthday, and we want our fair theme to celebrate this historic milestone in a BIG way!
We’re looking for creative, patriotic theme ideas that highlight 250 years of American pride, history, and community spirit.
🗓 All entries must be submitted by March 1st.
🏆 Prize:
The winning theme will receive 4 tickets to the Fair PLUS 4 tickets to the Demolition Derby!

The Amelia County Fair Association will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday January 20th at 7 pm. Meeting will be held ar the Amelia County Administration Building 16360 Dunn St. We invite the community to attend this meeting.

This past weekend, eight members of the Amelia County Fair Association attended the Virginia Association of Fairs Conference. We were proud to be joined by our Miss Amelia County Fair Scholarship Pageant winner, Autumn Mercer, who finished in the Top 11 of the Miss VAF Pageant and also earned the People’s Choice Award.

Our 2026 fair scrapbook also won 1st place in our division and overall Best in Show.

Throughout the conference, our team participated in educational sessions, networked with representatives from more than 30 fairs across the state, and met with a variety of world-class fair entertainment providers. We’re excited to put this knowledge to work as we prepare for the 2026 Amelia County Fair, August 13–16.

Our association is always looking for community members who want to get involved and help make this year’s fair a success. Our next meeting will be held Tuesday, January 20, at 7:00 PM (location TBD).
