Brides, I was thinking today about the Fairfield Inn in Pensacola, Florida. It is a very beautiful place, and I think it would make a great location for an affordable honeymoon! (Drivable from Houma)

The weekend prices are pretty high during the summer, but if you can go during the week, the prices drop!💕💕

It has a lazy river, fire pit, hot tub, hammocks, beachfront views are available, and a delicious restaurant is on site!

I just wanted to share this in case you’re looking for a nearby option.

We love walking the pier. We have seen sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, and so many gorgeous fish. 🐠
Hope this helps!

Tonight on the beach, I witnessed the sweetest surprise engagement. 🌊💍

There is just something so special about watching two people step into a brand-new chapter together. The waves, the sunset, the emotion, the excitement — it all felt like something straight out of a movie. We all clapped to cheer them on.

Moments like this are such a beautiful reminder that love does not need perfection to be unforgettable. Sometimes all it takes is the right person, the right question, and a beautiful view.

From “Will you marry me?” to “I do,” every love story begins somewhere — and tonight, I had the privilege of witnessing the beginning of one. 🤍

Sometimes life demands you to pivot when you least expect it…

Vern and I are on a little getaway together, and within minutes of walking into our Airbnb, I had a horrible allergic reaction to the fragrance they were pumping through the air ducts. My throat felt like it was closing, my nose was running like a faucet, and my eyes would not stop watering.

Instead of heading to the beach, we ended up at the pharmacy buying supplies and trying to figure out our next step. We had to leave our beautiful Airbnb early and quickly find another place to stay.

Honestly, one thing 36 (soon to be 37😊) years of marriage has taught us is how to pivot. We’ve learned life does not always go according to plan, and sometimes the unexpected completely changes the direction of your day.

But after the dust settled—our detour turned out even better than what we originally imagined.

So today, I’m thankful not for the disruption, but for the ability to adjust, regroup, and keep moving forward together. ❤️ It’s a learned skill. I don’t think we pivoted nearly as well when we were younger.

I’m also thankful for my loved ones who prayed me through. Special shoutout to my hubby; he was absolutely the best. This is the 2nd vacation I have had an issue. 🐝
He never complains.
He just supports me.

In my opinion, there’s nothing more attractive than a husband who wraps you in his arms and prays over you! ❤️❤️

💕💕 Brides, Bridal Parties, and Mothers of the Couple,

Most of you will remember to wear comfortable clothes before the wedding (like cute PJ’s), but don’t underestimate comfortable clothes towards the end of the wedding!!
(**Especially if you haven’t hired someone to do cleanup!)

Wedding gowns can weight up to 10 pounds (due to fabric and beading). Most brides want to change clothes because they’re exhausted from the day, and they just want to be comfortable. (Trust me! By the end, everyone wants to be comfortable—it’s a long day!)

💕 Consider a change of clothes and shoes at the end of wedding day.
It’s a breath of fresh air!

Questions to ponder (or talk to your Day-of Coordinator about) 💕💕💕

☐ Do your guests know what to do after arriving? Do you have signage to guide them?

☐ Are there any family dynamics or sensitive situations I should be aware of before rehearsal night?

☐ Are there any health concerns or accessibility needs I should know about with you or your guests? (Wheelchair access, epilepsy, elderly guests, etc.)

☐ Are you sensitive to social media, photographs, or videos, please let me know ahead of time.

☐ Is it OK for guests to make toasts or song requests without your permission?
*Your DJ will need to know this.

☐ If there are any surprises planned by the bridal party or the bride and groom, please let me know ahead of time, so we can prepare accordingly (photographer ready, videographer in place, etc.).

☐ If you have a large amount of decorations needing to be placed by me, I will need advance notice so timing can be properly planned.
Note: I place decorations, but I don’t construct floral arrangements or décor pieces (unless we have agreed upon this).

☐ Any outstanding payments that need to be paid on the wedding day can be given to me to pass along to vendors. You don’t want to leave the dance floor to pay a vendor!

☐ Is the caterer cutting the cake?

☐ Would you like anyone to take pictures with the cake before it is cut?

☐ Are you saving the top tier of your wedding cake? If so, have you asked the bakery for a box? Where will that box be located?

☐ Who will be taking home the extra food? Do you have containers prepared for transport?

☐ Is there anything currently stressing you out that you would like to talk through with me? We can brainstorm together. (When you need to de-stress , it helps that I’m a certified Life Coach.) 😜

👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼 This is what I am here for…I’m the gal who handles the details on wedding day, so you and your family can enjoy every moment.

I would love to meet you for coffee. I’ll see if we’re good fit.
