Our volunteers play a critical role in creating a joyful experience at Rozsa events. Working alongside Rozsa staff, you will help guests with wayfinding, assist with venue accommodations, and enjoy the show for free while you work!

How To Join ⤵️

1. Attend our orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 5:30–6:30 p.m.
2. Support the Rozsa as an usher for 6+ events throughout the season.

Connecting renowned choreographers and dancers with the talent and passion of local performers highlights our entire Keweenaw arts community and creates moments our stage will never forget ✨

Join us as we celebrate Keweenaw dancers taking the stage alongside elite professional artists for an unforgettable season opener ⤵️

SHIFT: Detroit Metropolitan Dance features four distinct works, including choreography by Stephanie Pizzo (Artistic & Executive Director of Detroit Metropolitan Dance), Yosh*to Sakuraba (founder of Abarukas), and a featured piece performed by local Keweenaw community dancers, choreographed by Emily “EmM” Moreira.

In addition to the performances at the Rozsa, Detroit Metropolitan Dance will also be participating in community engagement events, including a Free Movement Workshop at the Portage Lake District Library, open to the public, welcoming to all bodies and skill levels.

We're hard at work behind the scenes to bring you a great season! 🎉

On Monday, we reveal the complete season schedule, featuring live music, theatre, and visual art. From the rich sounds of the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra to moving plays and vibrant gallery exhibitions, there is something for everyone!

Tickets for the full season will be available Thursday, August 27. Rozsa Presenting Series tickets are on sale now.

Dancing our way into the 2026/27 season like...

Detroit Metropolitan Dance recently visited the Keweenaw for their annual U.P.rootEDD summer intensive camp. They even gave us a sneak peek of the pieces opening our season at the Rozsa Center on Saturday, September 12!
