Mary, the mother of the bride, fell in love with Red Barn Ranch and hoped her son and his fiancĂŠe would someday get married here.

Then COVID hit, and it didn’t work out.

Six years later, when Mary’s daughter Courtney got engaged, she remembered us and reached out. I was so delighted to hear from her, and even more delighted when Courtney agreed that Red Barn Ranch was the perfect elegantly rustic country wedding venue for her and Dustin.

It was so special to see Mary’s original vision finally become a reality, this time for her daughter.

And it got me thinking about all the sweet moms and dads who are often behind the scenes helping make their children’s weddings happen.

With our 3-day wedding experience, you have the property from Friday at 8:00 AM through Sunday at 2:00 PM. That means you can arrive Friday, set up without rushing, have your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, celebrate with your family and friends, enjoy your wedding day, and still have time Sunday morning to take a breath, pack up, and say goodbye.

There’s plenty of time in between to slow down and watch the grass grow. 🌿

Red Barn Ranch Events in Hopland, Ca is family-owned and operated, and we don’t just hand you the keys and send you on your way.

When Kris hears me talking to one of our brides on the phone, he’ll sometimes ask, “Who are you talking to?”

And when I tell him, he’ll say, “Oh, I thought it was your sister.” 😂

Honestly, that’s one of the best compliments he could give me.

We want our couples to feel comfortable asking questions, talking through ideas, coming out to the ranch with their vendors, and knowing that there’s a real person here who cares about making their wedding weekend wonderful.

We’re proud to be a multi-generational family-owned ranch in Hopland and even prouder of the relationships we’ve built with the families who have celebrated here.

When Aileen heard about Red Barn Ranch from a friend, she already had a very specific vision for her wedding.

Country western. Burlap and lace. Rustic, but elegant.

And she knew Red Barn Ranch was the perfect fit. It was love at first sight.

Aileen also had a specific budget, so instead of a full three-day wedding weekend, she chose our 2-Day Weekday Wedding Package.

Then she brought her vision to life with vendors who fit the style perfectly.

Up in Smoke BBQ brought their big, beautiful red smoker and served up the kind of food that belongs at a country western celebration.

And Rustically Romantic Photography captured all the beautiful details and the feeling of the day.

The result was a wedding that felt completely like Aileen and her vision: country, romantic, rustic, and elegant without needing to spend more than she wanted to.

And we still have a few 2027 dates available in each season! ♥️

The ranch has a different energy in every season. From green winter hills and spring wildflowers to warm summer evenings and golden fall light. There isn’t one “perfect” season to get married here; it just depends on the setting you’re dreaming of! Which version of the ranch feels most like your wedding?

Emerald-green rolling hills, a running creek, twinkling lights, and our cozy barn.
1-day and 2-day and Holiday packages available.

Family Run, Community supported. 🤍

As a family-owned and operated wedding venue, most of the work that keeps Red Barn Ranch looking its best is done by our family. From mowing lawns and maintaining the grounds to repairing fences and tackling countless projects, you’ll usually find our kids working right alongside us.

But no family can do it all.

Behind the scenes, we’re incredibly grateful for the talented contractors who help keep everything running smoothly. They’re the ones who help make sure the lights turn on, the water flows, and yes... the toilets flush! If your family loves spending summer days on the river, our 3-Day Wedding Experience is the perfect fit for you!

Red Barn Ranch sits along the Russian River in Hopland and your wedding weekend gives you easy access to the river with your family and friends.

One of my favorite memories from a wedding weekend was seeing the bride and groom holding hands walking back from the river early Saturday morning after going for a swim before the busyness of the wedding day began.

That image has stayed with me because it’s exactly what I hope our three-day wedding experience gives couples: time to actually enjoy being here.

Imagine your family arriving Friday morning, settling in and setting up for your wedding, spending an afternoon at the river, then coming back to the ranch for dinner and rehearsal.

Saturday is your wedding day. Maybe you’ll even sneak away for a romantic early morning dip, just you and your fiancé, before things get busy.

And Sunday gives everyone time to sleep in, enjoy breakfast, and head back to the river before everyone heads home at 2:00.

That’s what we love about a three-day wedding. You don’t have to pack everything into one day. You have time to actually enjoy the people you brought together. The river is just one more way to do that.
