SAME RANCH. A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WEDDING.

Sadie and Andrew wanted an intimate wedding where everything felt connected, and look how they made Red Barn Ranch their own!

They chose our upper ceremony lawn, a smaller, more intimate space right next to the dance floor. Instead of spreading their reception across the property, they arranged their tables around the dance floor and moved the lawn games from the lower lawn to the upper lawn, keeping everything close together.

The result? A wedding where guests could move easily between dinner, dancing, and games without ever feeling spread out across our large venue.

That’s one of the things we love about Red Barn Ranch. You don’t have to use every space to enjoy everything the ranch has to offer. You can bring your celebration together in a way that feels intimate and personal, with room to make it your own.

Whether you’re planning a smaller gathering or a large wedding, you have the flexibility to create a layout that fits your guest count and the experience you want for your guests.

CAN A 100-ACRE RANCH FEEL INTIMATE?

I had never actually heard this concern before:

“When we saw the pictures of your sprawling lawns, we were worried Red Barn Ranch would feel too spacious for our small wedding.”

I can confidently say, large or small, Red Barn Ranch can be arranged to fit your wedding, because there is no one way to set it up.

With multiple ceremony sites and multiple locations for dining, cocktail hour, and food and beverage service, you can choose the spaces that make sense for your guest count and the experience you want to create.

Larger weddings often choose the lower lawn for their ceremony, while smaller weddings often choose the upper lawn, keeping the ceremony closer to dinner and creating a cozier flow between the spaces.

The same goes for your reception.
Larger summer weddings often use our 3,600-square-foot shade structure, while smaller spring and fall weddings sometimes arrange their tables around the dance floor, keeping everything closer and more intimate.

Even your bar setup can be customized. Smaller dry weddings can skip the main bar entirely and use one of our service bars for non-alcoholic beverages closer to dinner or dancing.

You don’t have to fill every inch of Red Barn Ranch to have a beautiful wedding. You can bring everything closer together for a cozier feel, or spread things out so everything has room to flow beautifully.

Security will wand each person and inspect all handbags attending the event prior to entry.

No backpacks allowed.

Doors open at 4:00 PM. Event will begin promptly at 5:45 PM

Slam Dunk Pizza food truck will be available to purchase food.

Event location will be sent with tickets via email.

Honestly, they aren’t really secrets.

1. WE INCLUDE OVER $15,000 IN AMENITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE.

At Red Barn Ranch in Hopland the venue fee is actually less than the value of the rental items and infrastructure we include.

When I hear about couples choosing to get married on family property, I always think, “That may be special but it won’t save you money!”

2. OUR 3-DAY PACKAGE GIVES YOU MORE THAN JUST MORE HOURS.

Friday at 8am through Sunday at 2pm means you have one place to put down roots for the entire weekend.

Less driving around for everyone. One place for your rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding, and farewell breakfast. No need to arrange or pay additional venue fees for another location, and you don’t have to pay restaurant prices for every meal.

And with unlimited camping for family and friends, some of your guests can save on lodging, too.

The extra time also gives you plenty of time for setup and cleanup, which can save on staffing costs and make DIY much more manageable.

3. YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN VENDORS.

You do not have to use our vendor list or pay “buy out” fees. You can choose your own!

You can accept offers from family and friends who want to contribute their talents to your wedding. Your cousin can DJ. Your aunt can make the cake.

BONUS: WE HAVE OPTIONS BEYOND OUR 3-DAY WEEKEND PACKAGE.

We also offer weekday prices along with 1-day and 2-day packages during our off-season from late November through March.

Happy Fall, y’all! 🍂🤎

Our mama cows have just about finished having calving, and it’s fun watching the babies run and play. Soon, we’ll bring them in to care for them before the rains come. We’ve stocked up on fresh hay for the winter. Wood cutting and deliveries have ramped up, too. It’s a busy time of year around here!

The afternoons are warm, the nights are crisp, and the changing leaves create a stunning backdrop against the golden hills and our historic red barn.

Fall weddings at Red Barn Ranch are magical. Our twinkling bistro lights take center stage as the evenings get longer, and everyone gathers around the fire pit with blankets. Putting a jean jacket on over your wedding dress and roasting a marshmallow just feels like the right way to wind down.

And with our 3-Day Wedding Weekend, there’s time to enjoy every bit of it.
Music can play until 11:30, with the evening winding down at midnight. But one of my favorite moments is what happens after the music ends. The lights are still twinkling, the tables are still set with beautiful flowers, and the fire is glowing.

That moment is one of the reasons we created our 3-Day Wedding Experience. You don’t have to rush to clean up or pack everything away. You can simply soak up the magic of those last moments of a night you’ve spent a year or more planning, then take care of cleanup the next day.

The ranch will be decked out for the holidays, from the fence posts to the barn, with multiple festive Christmas “photo ops”. If you prefer something a little more natural, there’s plenty of beautiful ranch scenery to choose from, too!
