A new chapter is starting, and honestly… I’m really excited about it. 🤍
After 13 years in photography and 11 years of doing this as my career, I’m making a pretty big change.
Starting August 24th, I’ll be stepping into a full-time role at my son’s school as a paraprofessional. 🥹
And YES — I’m still doing photography! 📸
I’m not closing my business or walking away from it completely. I’m simply changing the way photography fits into my life. I’ll be taking on a limited number of sessions only in the summer, with a few in the fall.
For the first time, being a working mom, I’m choosing to experience what it feels like to leave work at work… come home… and just be with my family. No computer waiting for me. No editing at midnight. No feeling like I’m physically home but still have so much work waiting for me and my kids not allowing me to sit down and get it done lol
Photography has given me SO much, and I will always be incredibly grateful for the career it gave me and the people it brought into my life. 🤍
But I’m ready to make room for something new.
Maybe this is a one-year chapter. Maybe two. Maybe I never leave lol and Maybe it changes again down the road. I don’t know yet.
I just know I’m excited to find out. 🥹
And I’m especially excited because this new role feels like a step toward another dream of mine: becoming a certified spelling practitioner here in Michigan.
So here’s to change, new chapters, choosing what feels right for your family, and trusting yourself enough to try something different. 🤍
Photography isn’t going anywhere. I’m just making room for more of the life I want, too. 📸✨
I’ll share when my summer calendar opens for next year!
