Nature shows us how to live, love, and grow alongside each other. 🖤

Amber and Jon said “I do” last Saturday on the grounds of her grandparent's peaceful homestead, surrounded by their closest friends and family. The early morning rainfall made the foliage vivid while the cloud cast sky set a dark and dramatic scene for a romantic, intimate morning of photos in the stunning floral gardens and lush fields of their family property. Then right before the ceremony, the warm afternoon sun shone through the trees creating a fairytale setting for their exchange of vows. The nature that day truly reflected the flourishing display of rooted love Amber and Jon have for each other, it was a beautiful moment to be witness too.

Being such an important part of your love stories is a gift I don't take for granted, and getting to capture every detail on your big day from the essential events to the most intimate moments brings me such happiness and hope.

Love's like a road that has no end, and each day we begin again.🖤

Tessla and Malaki said “I do” last Saturday on the serene grounds of the Lake Side Lutheran Camp in Spirit Lake, Iowa surrounded by all their friends and family. This was my final wedding of 2023 and what a perfect way to close this busy, beautiful season.

The sun shone hot for an autumn day in late September, but the golden glow it cast off the changing leaves added a warmth to the air that matched the warmth you felt in each longing gaze, each hand wrapped tightly around another, each exhale exchanged between gently pressed faces, and each tear lightly rolling down their cheeks. I can say without a doubt that this wedding was the most deeply emotional display of love I have been lucky enough to witness and every photo from their first look and exchange of private handwritten vows is a perfect display of the profound love Tessla and Malaki have for each other, it was so hard to narrow it down to just a few photos for this preview.

Being such an important part of your love stories is a gift I don't take for granted, and getting to capture every detail on your big day from the essential events to the most intimate moments brings me such happiness and hope. Time seems to move so much faster once you have children, and between raising my daughter and dog, being a full time preschool teacher and operating my photography and graphic design business, it sometimes feels like there is not enough time to do all the things I love and be present for the people I love. With that being said, I wanted to announce that I have decided to book 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒓 weddings in 2024. My name is Alex, but I also respond to Al, AJ, wifey, and soon, mommy. I am a small town Wisconsin girl turned big city Minnesota babe who's obsessed with pretty nails, puppies, Christmas music, and queso! I am an experienced portrait photographer specializing in high-end editorial and everyday lifestyle photography. My style consists of glamorous and colorful imagery that captures and showcases your authentic selves.


It is so important to me that photography is not used as merely a "presentation" of your best self, but instead as a reflection of who you really are and what makes you you. That is why I have been putting people infront of my camera since 2015. Every person is uniquely and wonderfully designed and when we're in our session, I get to bring to light your rare features and expose your inner beauty!


I studied at CLC and WITC where I earned an Associates degree in Photographic Imaging Technology and Business Graphics Certificate. The thing I value most in owning my own business is getting to collaborate creatively with my all clients to achieve a truly one of a kind experience with pictures that reveal the absolute best versions of themselves.


When I'm not behind my camera taking pictures of your gorgeous faces, you can most likely find me playing with my snuggly but psycho fur-baby Chai, shopping up a storm, crafting or cooking with the help of my many Pinterest boards, or out adventuring with my high school sweetheart-turned husband and best friend of 9 years.

A love so deep, the depths of the great lakes can't compete. 🖤

Maisey and Tyler said “I do” last Saturday on the stunning shore of Lake Superior in Lutsen, Minnesota surrounded by their closet friends and family. You can feel the relentless and rooted love they have for each other in each intimate moment, now frozen in time. I get 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒃𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒔 every time I look at these images.

I've been shooting weddings for five years now and I rarely share this many photos in a preview post on my socials, but there are simply too many beautiful moments captured from this day to keep to myself. A calm and cloud covered Lake Superior framed by the breathtaking sculpture of the North Shore surround this couple so effortlessly. This area holds a special place in their hearts which was so prominent in every aspect of their wedding day and I hope these photos do it justice as well.

Love is the river of life in the world. 🖤

Cory and Macie fit so beautifully together. Their soft, shy smiles perfectly complimented their gentle, desirous embraces as they melted into one another every time they touched. The trust they have and comfort they bring each other was so evident in every aspect of their session, it made for a gorgeous collection of stunningly simple photographs that showcase their love story, which is already 10 years in the making.

Maisey and Tyler have such a beautiful connection and it is apparent in every aspect of their relationship. There is a comfort shared in each other’s embrace and a calm in each breath taken when their faces are pressed together, and in that same breath, they are laughing and joking with so much care and respect for one another, it is unlike anything I’ve witnessed before and so much fun to capture on my camera.
