Aloha and Talofa lava. My name is Asalemo Crawford, and Iโm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my mother Siitia from Upolu and father Ronald from Vaitogi, America Samoa, and their dream restaurant, Tiaโs Taste of Samoa. Recently, my parents were victims of fraud that targeted small businesses that heavily affected their business operations. My parents have always pushed through any hardship, but this one in particular almost broke them and their dream.
After raising me and my siblings, my mother and father worked very hard as caretakers 80 hours a week in Seattle before saving up enough to start up a business. In 2023, they were able to move to Hawaiโi and open their dream restaurant, and have established themself as the one of the only Samoan operated and owned restaurants in Hawaiโi, providing authentic Samoan Cuisine to communities in Oahu and often supporting other Samoan events, organization and fundraisers. Those who have met my parents know them loving and kind and put others before their own regard. Even as my parents have experienced health issues, familial tragedies and deaths, and recent crime against their restaurant, they have pushed through with a smile and an extra portion of love in their plates because this is their dream.
I am reaching out to the community to see if anybody would be willing to help in any manner they can, whether itโs being patron to our restaurant or donating to this Gofundme. All and any proceeds will go to paying for the restaurant utilities, rent and other need that was loss due to the crime. Please share this message to any and all willing.
