🎥✨ From the bottom of our hearts, mahalo nui loa to everyone who came out to support local businesses, artisans, and musicians at this year’s Made in Hawai‘i Festival. 💛

Your presence helped uplift more than 500 vendors and showed the strength of our community when we come together to celebrate all things local. Together we raised $30,000 to help feed Hawaii's hungry!

To our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and the hardworking festival team — this wouldn’t have been possible without you. 🌈🤝

Until next year, let’s continue to shop local, support small businesses, and spread aloha. 🌺

The Made in Hawai‘i Festival welcomed approximately 70,000 attendees from Aug. 15 to 17, drawing a similar-sized crowd to last year’s three-day event. According to organizers, all products featured at the festival must be at least 51% value added in Hawai‘i, whether through raw materials, design, labor, or manufacturing.

This year, the festival donated $30,000 to its charity partners, the Hawai‘i Foodbank and The Food Basket’s DA BUX program. Of that amount, attendees contributed over $7,000 through ticket purchases, which was matched by the Hawai‘i Food Industry Association and doubled by the Servco Foundation.

😀 We are truly overwhelmed and honored by the outpouring of support and aloha for this year's festival. As you know it was a tremendous success and we can't thank you enough.

We do acknowledge the frequently asked questions post-festival and wanted to take the time to answer them.

Why were the entry lines long?
Eager shoppers lined up hours before doors opened — some as early as 1:30 a.m. on Friday and even the night before on Saturday. Lines naturally grew long by 6 a.m., even though the doors didn’t open until later in the morning. In addition, enhanced security measures required by the Hawai‘i Convention Center, including magnetometer screenings, did slow the entry process on Friday. However, by Saturday and Sunday, adjustments were made and entry was moving smoothly — with little to no wait by 10:30 a.m. each day.

How is "Made in Hawai‘i" designation made?
According to the state, HRS §486-119 “Made in Hawai‘i” means a product must be created in Hawai‘i, with at least 51% of its value added through local production, processing, or manufacturing.
This 51% can come from any combination of the value of raw materials, design, labor, and manufacturing. The valuation is submitted by the vendors themselves and checked by our team. The majority of the products exceed the 51% amount. It is possible that some products that are manufactured outside the state, or that have components manufactured outside the state, meet the criteria. We strive to have vendors and products that not only meet the criteria but exceed it and are truly embodying the spirit of Made in Hawaiʻi.

We always support local families and businesses of Hawai‘i and appreciate your support and outpouring of aloha! 🌺

Mahalo everyone!

Mahalo everyone!

Hundreds of businesses are celebrating a huge win after another busy and successful Made In Hawaii Festival.

The 31st Annual Made in Hawai‘i Festival, presented by Hawaiian Airlines, concluded this past weekend with approximately 70,000 attendees over three days of amazing support from the community, visitors, and more than 500 local businesses (via 700+ vendor booths) who came together to celebrate Hawai‘i’s culture, food, fashion, and innovation.

After final tallies were confirmed, festival organizers announced that attendees donated more than $7,000 through ticket purchases. The Hawai‘i Food Industry Association (HFIA) matched that amount, bringing the subtotal to $15,000. Through a matching partnership, the Servco Foundation doubled that amount — resulting in a grand total of $30,000 donated to the festival’s charity partners the Hawaii Foodbank and The Food Basket (DA BUX program) Sunday afternoon.

Thank YOU for your support and your aloha!
