After several large weddings in their friend group, Amber and Ryan decided to do something a little differently -- and, in my opinion, it was a great choice! 💍 ✨️

They started the day with their legal ceremony in comfy clothes at my chapel at 8:00am, where I issued their and performed their legal ceremony. Happy tears were shed; we took some photos; and then they had breakfast . ☺️

They used hotel points to stay and spent the day getting ready for their private vows in the woods above the lake with a photographer. 📸

I actually love this idea as they get the best of both worlds: getting legally married in a chapel AND exchanging vows in the woods with amazing photos. 🌲

They chose to make the day about them!

Zayna & Justin were visiting Lake Tahoe with family and staying in Incline Village when they decided it was the perfect time to make their marriage official. 💫

They recently were married in Mexico, but the legal paperwork still needed to be completed. Zayna's mom, Janel, found me and Mountain High Chapel online, and the next morning they stopped by for a simple, stress-free "Sign-and Go" ceremony. 📄 🖊️

In less than 15 minutes, they were officially married and on their way to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach. ☀️ 💍

Sometimes the sweetest weddings are the simplest ones.

Lila and Jack wanted to get married their way: on a specific date, just the two of them, and with their honeymoon before the ceremony, which entailed camping with their dogs. 🏕️ 🐶 🌲

It was a chilly mountain day in Tahoe, so the warmth and coziness of the chapel was the perfect setting to make things legal. Afterward, they headed out to exchange rings and personal vows surrounded by Tahoe's beauty -- and with their dogs by their side. They were absolutely beaming! 🥰 ✨

Martin and Carolynn called me on Friday morning to see if they could elope two days later on Sunday. I was planning on taking the day off since it was my birthday, but I love my job and it’s not really "work," so a love buzz on my birthday just seemed right. 🥰

We met at my chapel where I issued the paperwork. Carolynn was able to freshen up in the Bridal Suite after driving up from the Foothills, and then we headed down to the lake. 💒 ➡️ 🌅

It was a beautiful day and they love Chambers Landing so we headed down to the beach and had the ceremony on the pier. After their ceremony, they headed to South Lake for a mini-moon to enjoy the beautiful Spring Tahoe weather. 🌷 ☀️
