Mountain High Weddings Celebrating the day of marriage for all couples on the CA side of Tahoe. Elopements, weddings, and ceremonies. I have lived on Tahoe's West Shore since 1988.

I also take care of your CA marriage license, and help with planning elopements. I am blessed to live in such a beautiful place that allows me to do something I love. I've had many jobs, all in the people business. I started working in a flower shop and after a few months I realized there are a lot of weddings in Tahoe. I thought to myself, What a wonderful job, celebrating marriage? I found out w

hat it took to marry people and I started in May of 1998. I was ordained by the Universal Life Church, which believes we are all one, no matter what religion, you or I may be, we all must live in this world together. As a marriage officiant I am excited to be a part of bringing people together. I believe marriage is the ultimate commitment that two people make when they share the same goals, ideas, values, and most importantly love. I also believe the wedding ceremony is one time you have to declare your feelings, promises, and dreams in front of your loved ones. I know marriage is worth celebrating. I also know that the pre-celebration can be a little stressful and that is where I realized my calling. Creating ceremonies & celebrating the day of marriage. Becoming a marriage officiant has blessed my life in so many ways. With my many years of experience I have brought hundred's of couple's together, and with that experience I have been able to accomplish keeping the ceremony stress free.

5/17/26 was a magical day. One of my favorite people got married! Not only is Amanda a dear friend, she is an amazing photographer and we work together often: . And after last Sunday, I think she has a new outlook on hiking ceremonies being on the other side of the lens! 📷️

Amanda and Stoney hike a lot and love this particular tree, so they decided to get married next to the Juniper. The hike is not a stroll, but not too far either. Amanda and I had done the hike earlier in the week, so on that Sunday, we knew exactly where we were going. The only difference was the temperature and hiking attire! ⛰️

Even though it was chilly, it was still amazing -- and now, these two are married! 💍 It was a private ceremony followed by a beautiful reception at their house with their Tahoe friends. They are headed to TN for another celebration with family later this summer. 🥂

It was such an amazing day! Looking forward to the pro photos from !

Scott and Alexis call Tahoe City home. They knew they wanted to be married — just not with a big hoopla — as they’re planning a celebration with friends and family in Southern California at a later date. 🗓️ 🎉

Scott found my chapel and stopped by to take a look. After talking through a few options together, they realized they wanted something more personal than a simple Sign-and-Go ceremony . . . something that felt more like them.

So, we created exactly that. 💫

We began their ceremony at Bristlecone Beach, a place that holds meaning for them — and then made our way to Skylandia State Park & Beach for photos.

It was quiet, intentional, and full of heart. Just the two of them, and their sweet pup. 🐶 💞

Exactly as they wanted and how it was meant to be.

Three years ago, Sean and Kristin got married on a beautiful wooden boat in October. My friend and fellow vendor did their photos, so when they come back to visit Tahoe, they always look us up. This time, we got to do a wonderful hike and then stopped by my new chapel! 💒

This is your window. ✨ I have the necessary permits for you to get married overlooking Emerald Bay. 😍

Waterfalls are flowing, the snow has cleared (rare for this time of year), and Lake Tahoe is just starting to wake up for the season.

Early mornings and late afternoons/evenings are especially beautiful for elopements and micro weddings at this time of year.

Lisa and Jeff reached out to me last Tuesday afternoon to see if I was available to officiate their elopement . . . and by Sunday morning, they were married! 💍 🌄

They had a trip to Lake Tahoe planned for a friend’s birthday and decided it was as good a time as any to elope. 💕 They were thrilled I was able to bring it all together so quickly and seamlessly.

And as they made their way down to the meadow, they were greeted by a bald eagle overhead. 🦅

Moments like these are a reminder that it doesn’t have to be complicated to be absolutely perfect and meaningful. 🤍
