One of my favorite parts of a wedding day happens before I ever arrive at the venue.

I love getting ready.

Choosing a dress that complements the wedding colors, turning on some music, and taking a few quiet moments to read through the ceremony one last time. It helps me shift from everyday life into one of the happiest moments I’ll be privileged to witness.

Then, once the ceremony begins… I do something very intentionally.

During the vows, the ring exchange, and the kiss, I step aside.

Those moments belong to the couple—not the officiant. By moving out of the way, the focus stays exactly where it should, and their photographer captures images they’ll treasure for a lifetime.

It’s a small detail, but I think the little details matter.

After hundreds of weddings, I still get excited every single time. 💙

Some weddings are grand productions.
And some are this… quiet, intentional, wildly beautiful moments tucked into nature.

A few years ago, I stood beside this waterfall and married a couple with only their children by their side, the sound of rushing water behind them, and the woods wrapped around them like something out of a storybook. Honestly? It remains one of my favorite ceremony settings ever.

So much of what makes a wedding meaningful has nothing to do with extravagance. It’s the feeling. The intention. The promise being made.

I’ll be returning to Mill Creek Falls on 6.6.26 for a few intimate ceremonies and currently have room to add TWO more simple ceremonies or license signings while I’m there that afternoon.

Some couples just make you believe in love a little harder. 🤍

Hannah is pure sunshine — the kind of person who laughs with her whole heart and brings warmth everywhere she goes. And Sebastian? The second she’s near him, you can see it all over his face. Calm, steady, completely smitten. Like every room instantly becomes lighter because she walked into it.

There was nothing overly polished or performative about the way they loved each other yesterday. Just real connection. Easy smiles. Quiet tenderness. The kind of love that doesn’t need to prove itself because everyone around them can already feel it.

And honestly… watching Sebastian melt every time Hannah looked his way may have been one of my favorite parts of the day. 🥹

Wishing these two a marriage filled with laughter, comfort, loyalty, and thousands more moments where they look at each other exactly like this. ✨

Some weekends remind me why I love what I do so much.

This trip to Indian Rocks Beach wasn’t just about the ceremony…
It was about being invited into a couple’s story in a place that already meant something to them.

It was also a few quiet moments with my husband…
time with his mom…
and the kind of balance that makes this work feel less like “travel” and more like living.

I keep destination ceremonies simple and approachable on purpose — this one was just $750 to cover travel — because I genuinely want to say yes to these experiences.

So if your wedding isn’t in York… or even in Pennsylvania…
please don’t assume I won’t come.

Sometimes the best ceremonies happen somewhere unexpected 🤍
