Also, an important part of my story is my passion for mentorship. I mentor college women who are studying PR, often connecting with them through LinkedIn. Many young women interested in music PR have found me and reached out for interviews and advice because they find my niche exciting and inspiring. A dream of mine is to eventually start a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young women break into professional roles in the music industry — especially in rock and metal, where female voices still fight to be heard. SKINLAB Streams Super Beefy Cover of HATEBREED's "Last Breath"
Thanks
Metal Injection 🤘

“The release has already drawn praise from within the metal community, including Hatebreed guitarist Wayne Lozinak Hatebreed
, who commented: "Loving this cover of Last Breath! Some different sounds in there going on too, putting a cool twist on it and taking it to a new place. If you haven't heard it yet, go check it out!"”

“Producer Ulrich Wild WURMgroup emphasized the challenge of balancing reverence with reinvention: "It's always a challenge to do a cover song justice," Wild explains. "You have to stay true to the original yet adapt it to your own style. It's easy to simply play the song – any cover band does that.”

Bay Area groove metal veterans Skinlab have returned with a blistering cover of Hatebreed's "Last Breath", produced by Ulrich Wild.

04/03/2026

Skinlab is back in full force — and this time, it’s all groove, weight, and intent.

The Bay Area groove metal veterans have already kicked off their run with Exhorder on The Tour of Unsound Minds, launching April 2 in West Virginia and tearing through the East Coast and Midwest on an 18-date stretch that runs through April 19.

Now, they’re doubling down with a massive release moment.

Skinlab’s punishing rework of Hatebreed’s “Last Breath” — produced, mixed, and mastered by acclaimed heavy music architect Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Static-X, Deftones) — is set to premiere on Metal Injection this Tuesday, April 7 at 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT 🤘

Originally a blistering standout from Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire, “Last Breath” is already a hardcore classic — but Skinlab drags it into deeper, darker territory. This isn’t a note-for-note cover. It’s a full reconstruction: thicker riffs, low-end dominance, and that unmistakable groove metal swing that hits harder with every cycle.

The track also marks a new era for the band, featuring guitarist Angelo Miles on his first recorded outing — injecting fresh energy into an already crushing lineup.

Catch Skinlab live now on tour with Exhorder, and stay locked for the premiere — this one doesn’t just hit… it lingers.

Bay Area crushers Skinlab return with a vicious new take on Hatebreed’s “Last Breath” — and this snippet proves they’ve dragged the hardcore staple straight into crushing groove metal territory.

Produced, mixed, and mastered by legendary producer Ulrich Wild, the track hits with precision and weight, while marking the recorded debut of guitarist Angelo Miles, who wastes no time making his presence known.

Full drop lands April 10.

🖤 If you’re into dark, cinematic, alternative doom/goth rock, this one’s worth your time — Arkfiend by Amnesiak

Haunting melodies, heavy emotion, and a sound that fans of Type O Negative, Chelsea Wolfe, and Paradise Lost will love. This album is beautifully dark — and it’s now available on vinyl. 🎶🕯️

Two killer tracks with stunning music videos make Arkfiend a must-listen. Trust me, this one deserves another look.

Why Arkfiend Still Matters
Emotional & Narrative Depth
Arkfiend doesn’t simply evoke darkness — it inhabits it, exploring the fractured minds of killers, victims, and bystanders alike. “A sort of memoir about forgotten crimes left behind,” the band explains. No one should be forgotten; no one should be murdered.

Musical Identity at the Crossroads
Between gothic, doom, ethereal atmospheres, touches of trip-hop, and occasional nods to Depeche Mode, Amnesiak’s palette is varied yet singular. Their influences include The Doors, Dead Can Dance, Patti Smith, Mark Lanegan, Kate Bush, Nick Cave, and Jefferson Airplane — shaping a sound that lingers long after it ends.

Critical Interest
International webzines have begun praising Arkfiend’s “visionary doom/gothic rock” and theatrical intensity. Fans describe it as a haunting yet beautiful experience that “feels like the soundtrack to the forgotten corners of the mind.”

Upcoming Live Dates
March 7, 2025 – LVLS, Hackney, London, UK

April 11, 2025 – Bear Festival, Bournemouth, UK

Additional live shows and festival appearances will be announced soon.

Band Bio
Amnesiak first emerged in 2020, conceived by Grace Wilson and Francesco Fonte. From their inception, the duo sought to merge melancholic, heavy soundscapes with an enigmatic lyrical lens probing deeply into the psyches of killers and victims.
Building upon the sonic groundwork laid by the greats of the goth and doom canons, Amnesiak are known for their haunting voices and poetic darkness — a sound somewhere between Chelsea Wolfe, Dead Can Dance, and Wardruna. Their aim is to connect through an original sound and lyrics that reach beyond the ordinary, “hoping to create a legacy for those who catch the message behind our music.”

With momentum at an all-time high following the release of Arkfiend, the band is already hard at work crafting new material, setting the stage for what promises to be their biggest year yet.

✨ Excited to announce that I’ll be working with Amnesiak , a
a London-based alternative doom rock/goth band whose sound is dark, cinematic, and beautifully haunting. Fans of Type O Negative, Paradise Lost, Chelsea Wolfe, and Katatonia are going to love them. Their latest album Arkfiend is pure atmosphere and emotion — and we’ll be bringing new life and global attention to it. 🖤

A huge thank-you to Maor Applebaum for referring Amnesiak my way. It means so much when our music community looks out for one another. Referrals are everything — and I’m always happy to pay it forward and refer business too. That’s what keeps our creative world strong and connected.

Let’s keep supporting, sharing, and lifting each other up. 🤘

👻🌑 JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN!
Something stirs in the shadows… and it wants your soul. 🌑👻

Today, BBrocardeunveils the haunting new video for “Feed My Soul”—a chilling symphonic metal anthem featuring Ray Luzier of Korn. Filmed deep inside a haunted, abandoned hunting hotel in Germany’s Black Forest, the walls themselves whisper with restless spirits and forgotten rituals.

💀 This isn’t just a music video—it’s an encounter with the other side. Toxic love, power struggles, and supernatural energy collide in a gothic fever dream that blurs the line between the living and the dead.

With “Feed My Soul,” Brocarde solidifies her place as a boundary-pushing force in heavy music, marrying the spectral and the symphonic in a way only she can.

ABOUT BROCARDE
A one-woman force of dark creativity, Brocarde is a symphonic metal artist and storyteller who weaves haunting aesthetics with passion-fueled lyrics and theatrical soundscapes. Blending influences from gothic literature to horror cinema, her work straddles the line between the ethereal and the macabre. Her artistry embodies the spectral and the symphonic — equal parts Edgar Allan Poe, Tim Burton, and modern metal rebellion.
