This Juneteenth Celebration is going to be like no other!🔥🔥🔥 We want everyone to come out and enjoy the parade which will include the Junkanoo Band and Stilt Walkers to name a few. In both Junkanoo Bands and Stilt Walkers, African cultural practices and traditions have been adapted and evolved in the Caribbean, creating vibrant and unique forms of celebration and cultural expression!🔥🔥🔥 Bring the whole family out to learn about and enjoy our rich culture. The parade starts ON TIME at 10am so get there early so you don’t miss anything. Anyone interested in being a vendor contact Georgette 954-237-9844.

Juneteenth Celebration 2018

The celebration date is as follows and are all open to the public at no cost: The Opening Ceremony will kick-off the 1-day event on SATURDAY, June 16, 2018 from 10:00am-8:00pm at Attucks Middle School Baseball Field and will include a keynote speaker, special recognitions, music and refreshments. Our guests will include City of Hollywood’s Legislative members, public officials, different area community leaders and, of course, all of you.

A special memorial dedication for our great community advocates will also be included. Our event also features food and merchant vendors, children’s activities Corner, a kickball game that commemorates the Negro League, a health fair, educational exhibits and musical entertainment, Last but not lease STRAWBERRY SODA.
