Well, this is a post I genuinely cannot believe I’m writing.
Crackersnacks BBQ is temporarily pausing regular retail service.
I want to be clear about what happened—and what did not happen.
We were not physically thrown out. We made the difficult decision to remove our operation from the retail location after repeated disruptions involving access to the property, interference with our business equipment, and an operating environment that had become too uncertain to responsibly keep serving customers from that site.
Over the last several days, we cleaned out our equipment and operations. We did not make this decision because we gave up, ran out of money, or decided BBQ was not working.
This was not a decision we made lightly. We built our retail operation there, put real work into it, and wanted to keep growing from that location.
But operating a business requires stability, reliable access, and the ability to protect the equipment and work you depend on. When those basics were no longer there, we had to make a difficult decision about what was best for Crackersnacks moving forward.
There are also ongoing property and code-related matters involving the location that are being addressed through the appropriate channels. We are not going to speculate about those matters or litigate a private dispute on social media.
This is painful, frustrating, and not at all how we wanted this chapter to end. But if anyone thinks this means Crackersnacks BBQ is finished, they fundamentally misunderstand what we are building.
Crackersnacks was never supposed to be just a food trailer in somebody else’s parking lot. It is supposed to become a business that lasts—one strong enough to provide for my family, serve this community, and outlive the place where it first found its footing.
So there is no question of whether Crackersnacks survives this.
It will.
The question is what the next version looks like.
Maybe it has four walls. Maybe it has four wheels. Maybe this giant pain in the ass forces us toward the move we should have made anyway.
Either way, we are not going away.
Regular walk-up service is paused while we work through the next location and operating plan. Existing catering commitments are still happening, and we are continuing to accept catering, private-event, pop-up, and special-event bookings.
To our employees: thank you for dealing with an unbelievable situation while continuing to take care of our customers.
To every customer, friend, family member, local business, and member of this community who has supported us since 2024: thank you.
This is not a goodbye post.
Not even close.
It is an unexpected intermission.
Now we figure out where the smoke goes next.
