There are still 2 open roles available for this upcoming comedy/mystery production! This is a previously performed script from a local playwright, and while many actors are reprising their roles, we are looking for fresh faces to round out the cast for this "whole lotta fun" show.

Show Description

Just in time for Halloween! A delightfully haunted comedy featuring a unique group of characters that come together to help an old friend solve a mystery and find some peace within his spooky little mansion in the heart of beautiful downtown Holly Springs, NC.

Available Roles

Ages listed are approximate.

- Andrew (Male, 40s–50s): Maddox’s valet, butler, and friend. He is smart and kind with a sarcastic sense of humor, patient enough to handle a rockstar's eccentricities. Note: Requires a detectable accent (e.g., British, Southern, Midwest, Canadian, etc.).

- Chloe (Female, 40s): A former "groupie/girlfriend" and former stripper who is now a doctor. She is the smart, career-driven, and practical voice of reason in the room, though she remains caring and may still carry a torch for Maddox.

• There can be no conflicts during tech week or performances.

1776 follows John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and the members of the Second Continental Congress as they debate the question of American independence. Filled with wit, humor, and an unforgettable score, this Tony Award-winning musical brings one of the most pivotal moments in American history to life.

This production will feature an all-female cast. We are seeking women to portray all principal and ensemble roles, creating a fresh theatrical interpretation while honoring this timeless story.

We’re excited for our next Summer at the Springs this Friday, June 19! Please note the following facility information to help make your visit smooth and enjoyable:

🚪 Lobby Closure
The main lobby inside the Cultural Center will be closed for renovations during the concert.

🚻 Restroom Locations
Public restrooms will be available in the mobile restroom trailers located next to the stage, identified on the event map.

🅿️ Parking Information
Parking will not be affected by ongoing construction and will remain available for concert attendees. Parking locations and access routes are identified on the event map.

📍 Event staff will be available to assist with directions if needed.
