Part Two of my thoughts on the Tulip Season:
I am definitely an introvert and need my time, but I also love welcoming people to our home and to our space.
We quite literally moved here with the intention to do so.
So once people started coming and picking, walking away with smiles and flowers, there was a great sigh of, âOh yes, this is what I love.â
Granted, I was still exhausted the whole way through. Scrambling around.
But also, it is what I love.
My friends who so generously gave up their time to come help on the busy days witnessed it too. Literally, everyone leaves here so happy. How can you not?
Tulips are the most insane way to start our flower season, but it is also such a fuel for the rest of the year.
I love getting to wrap up more flowers to put in the stand.
I literally cannot wait for our summer events. Lark, Midsummer Nightâs Dream ⌠theyâre always the BEST nights of the summer. And you all agree!
I hope for a bit more rhythm and less scrambling, but also, some days/weeks are just like that and maybe I can welcome it a bit more than resist or resent.
But mostly, right now, my introvert heart is thankful for a few weeks of just dirt work. Time to prep beds and plant flowers that you all will enjoy in a few months time. Time for quiet and a bit more reflection.
And in a few weeks, flowers will be blooming and hopefully filling your homes again!
